1 Corinthians 12:8-10 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,  to another miraculous powers
Faith Over and Above
we require a measure of faith over and above where we are
each one of us needs to experience that extraordinary faith that God is with us in the tough times
it is simply being able to live our lives according to kingdom principles
each day we walk stronger and better in the faithfulness we have learnt and in the faithfulness of God
1 Corinthians 1:7-9 7  Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
9  God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
God is faithful and his most faithful gift in Jesus Christ
let us be true to this faithfulness
Paul declares an eternal truth - our giftings
1 Corinthians 1:7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
* we do not lack any spiritual gift
* let us be expectant. let us anticipate, let us rejoice in the fulfillment of this promise
Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
we have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms
what we have in heaven we already have it now
do not let doubt steal away the promise
do not let disappointment hide the truth of God’s promises in life
do not let our thinking and our hurts to shackle us so that we do not realize the prize of every spiritual blessing and gift in Christ
Our Healing Stolen and Our Miracles Refused
Adam and Eve had perfection in the garden
It was thrown away by their rebellion and pride filled their lives
we have been given the priceless opportunity to regain all that we have lost
let us operate in the great faith of Jesus Christ to continually walk in the blessings of Christ
I expect miracles every day, I expect healings every day
Miracles and Healings every time we pray, every time we walk in the ways of the Spirit
Our Challenge
it is easy to listen to the doctor when bad news is spoken into our eartly realm
Yet we are healed in the spiritual realm
it is easy to allow our past experiences to dominate our faith and to deny the miraculous in our life
scripture is full of the mighty outworking of Christ through his Spirit into the lives of men, women and children
let us hold firmly to all that is good and holy and pure, and expect God to work in us every time
A Word of Caution
God’s ways are not our ways
we still live under the earthly demands and physical limitations
we know that present healing in this life may not be in God’s will for us
let us rest in faith and the professed prophetic supernatural knowing that God is working
God does work through man’s wisdom and knowledge, given to us by God
Lessons from Miracles
John 11:39-40 “Take away the stone,” he said. “But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”  Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
despair of death was strong - dead is dead
Lazarus raised for the glory of God
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
do not continue in revealed sin - make sure you are as holy as possible
God can work miracles but not if you choose otherwise
God is a gentleman, he will wait for your faith
Faith by deed or by word
Matthew 8:13 13  Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Jesus operates in the realm of faith, so must we
Centurion was not bound by religious traditions or knowledge
he just came under the Lord’s authority
he expressed his faith in belief and in words
Matthew 8:8 (NIV2011) 8  The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Matthew 15:30 Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.
no limit to God’s provision - no healing too big, too small. too dififcult
there was an acknowledge of Jesus’healing power
let us do likewise
