T.S.:    There are some things we need to know about racing....

I.          Restrictor Plate Racing Hebrews 12:1

□        NASCAR pace

□        Like Brock, we all have things that hold us back…

□        Write on the piece of paper (one word, three items)

§         Things that would impact you from your race of faith

§         Worries, past hurts, anxiety, distractions {weights and sin}

□        Nail them to the Cross

II.        Relay Race (vs. Hebrews 11:39-40)

□        from before to future

□        here and now

□        Both aspects are your influence, like Brock

III.       Registration for the Race (Hebrews 12:2 Getting in the Race)

□        Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher

□        “Looking” = looking away from the in order to gaze upon

□        Understanding the reason for the race.

IV.       Race You Are In (Bottom Line)

□        What is this race I’m talking about? (the life God created you for)

□        How do you run a race?

§         knowing you have a race… (set before you – personal and corporate)

·        What has God shown you?

·        What has God shown your leaders?

§         know where your are going… (for a lifetime – what is your finish line?)

·        “I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m sure getting there fast!”

·        Write down one word that represents your life’s race.

·        Write down “Kingdom Advancement”

§         one step at a time (today is part of the race)

·        what is God showing you today?

·        Write down one word that represents the step that God has placed before you today.

Concl.: We have a great race set before us that we are all designed to run in remember these four elements each day… Homework, write down your steps.
