MISSION PARTNERS
Intro. - More than just money
Prayer
Prayer is foundational to missions - read DJ #37, p25 - David Bryant, missions specialist with Inter-Varsity Fellowship,
stresses the significant role of prayer in fulfilling the Great Commission: Prayer is action. By it we step out in advance
of all other results . . . Praying is an activity upon which all others depend. By prayer we establish a beachhead for the
kingdom among peoples where it has never been before. Prayer strikes the winning blow. All other missionary efforts
simply gather up the fruits of our praying.
Paul asked for prayer - Ephesians 6:19-20, 2 Thess. 3:1-2, 2 Cor. 1:10-11
Pray for the total ministry, not just outreach - the family life, adjustment to new culture, language, personal walk with
God, those who are left behind
