Monday Night Session 1: Administration

1 Corinthians 12:4–11 TPT
4 It is the same Holy Spirit who continues to distribute many different varieties of gifts. 5 The Lord Yahweh is one, and he is the one who apportions to believers different varieties of ministries. 6 The same God distributes different kinds of miracles that accomplish different results through each believer’s gift and ministry as he energizes and activates them. 7 Each believer is given continuous revelation by the Holy Spirit to benefit not just himself but all. 8 For example: The Spirit gives to one the gift of the word of wisdom. To another, the same Spirit gives the gift of the word of revelation knowledge. 9 And to another, the same Spirit gives the gift of faith. And to another, the same Spirit gives gifts of healing. 10 And to another the power to work miracles. And to another the gift of prophecy. And to another the gift to discern what the Spirit is speaking. And to another the gift of speaking different kinds of tongues. And to another the gift of interpretation of tongues. 11 Remember, it is the same Holy Spirit who distributes, activates, and operates these different gifts as he chooses for each believer.
Tonight we are going to deal with Three things the Holy Spirit does in administration.
1 Corinthians 12:11 TPT
11 Remember, it is the same Holy Spirit who distributes, activates, and operates these different gifts as he chooses for each believer.
Distribution:
Activation:
Operation:
1 Corinthians 12:4–6 AV
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1 Corinthians 12:27–28 AV
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
The Word Governments
gift’s of leadership (TPT)
administrating (ESV)
Those who are able to govern (NCV)
ADMINISTRATION Spiritual gift that God gives to some members to build up the church
Called “governments” in KJV. The Greek word kubernesis occurs only here in the Greek NT. It describes the ability to lead or hold a position of leadership.
NASB translates Hebrew idiom “to do justice” as “administer justice” (2 Sam. 8:15; 1 Kings 3:28; 1 Chron. 18:14).
Similarly, NASB translates the idiom “to judge justice” as “administer justice” (Jer. 21:12)
KJV speaks of differences of administrations (1 Cor. 12:5), translating the Greek diakonia, “services” (NIV, RSV) or “ministries” (NASB, HCSB). Leading a church involves ministering to or serving the needs of its members.
In any Ministry, group, team, auxiliary what ever you call it.. If you want it too fail or produce little don’t allow it to have an administration dept.
You can have great preaching, great teaching, great music & singers, great after-school program the best Youth Department in your Church. The nicest facility in town.. But if you have a poor admin team its going to be hard to move from good too GREAT.
You don’t need a large admin Team it can start with one person & yourself & if your the pastor maybe your spouse.
1. Distribution:
1244 διαιρέω [diaireo /dee·ahee·reh·o/] v. From 1223 and 138; TDNT 1:184; TDNTA 27; GK 1349; Two occurrences; AV translates as “divide” twice. 1 to divide into parts, to part, to tear, cleave or cut asunder. 2 to distribute.
Strong’s Lexicon. Woodside Bible Fellowship.
Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon 1266 διαμερίζω

1266 διαμερίζω [diamerizo /dee·am·er·id·zo/] v. From 1223 and 3307; GK 1374; 12 occurrences; AV translates as “part” six times, “divide” five times, and “cloven” once. 1 to cleave asunder, cut in pieces. 2 to be divided into opposing parts, to be at variance, in dissension. 3 to distribute.

In administration: You must master distributing Task/assignments, Information, Vision, Strategy to different people on different levels @ different times & seasons.
This requires effective communication
This may also require separation (to be divided into opposing parts)
Matthew 17:1 AMP
1 AND SIX days after this, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.
Distribution has a lot to do with how your packaging/branding your Ministry.
Your Ministry Might Be better than all 4 of the other churches on the block. But if how they distribute their ministry is more effective than yours … They Win..
Let me go hood on ya’ll
Benny, Jonesey & Skip all buy their drugs from the same neighborhood supplier.
The sell there drugs two blocks away from each other.. Benny has blue bags
Jonesey got clear bags & Skips Crew got vile’s
Benny: his crew is lazy. But he puts the least cut on his drugs and give the customers a little more per bag. But his crew is often late opening up shop and they move from one side of the street to the other. And some times the worker dis-appear for several hours.
Jonesey: He got the supreme Team. His crew works in 3 shifts. So the shop is open 24/7 He’s mastered re-rocking his drugs after he puts cut on it so his clear bags are bigger that his competition.
Skip: He’s next level distribution: he has a block rocking 24 hours a day. He has a delivery service for anything over $100 as long as its paid in advance via venmo. His High-end customers that work downtown during the week love his lunch time specials. He doesn’t cut his drugs he also gives less but its better.
Out of the 3 who’s the Highest earner?
why is that person the highest earner?
Who’s on the bottom? And why?
How can they all offer same thing yet yield different Results?
Put that same concept with 3 Ministries within a 3 block radius
Jesus Christ is the product
How they distribute him is what makes the difference.
1 Corinthians 12:5–6 AV
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
questions:
This is for every department:
Scale 1-10. 1 worst 10 best
How good is your distribution
Yearly Marketing:
Your graphic designing:
Your email communication:
Internal
External
Your social media presence
2. Activation:
Matthew 7:7–8 AMP
7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
Ac·ti·vate: make (something) active or operative, switch on, turn on, start (up), set going, trigger (off), set in motion, initiate, actuate, energize; trip.
The Admin Team should be willing to initiate the vision of the Leader:
To make something active or operative
Can your leader share a vision with you and with limited information you can set some things on motion?
Does your fear and your lack of faith get in the way of the Pastors Vision?
If your going to have a spirit to activate you can’t quit, slow down, become discouraged or disgruntled.
Matthew 7:8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
The Amplified Bible. (1987). (Mt 7:8). La Habra, CA: The Lockman Foundation.
I have learned so much this year by the mistakes I have made
Mistakes causes you to keep asking God, keep seeking God. to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened. .
The Door of Revelation Knowledge is what activates, trigger off, set in motion, initiate, energizes & trips.
The Reason why some staff struggle with Activation is because of Elevation.
2 Kings 6:17 AMP
17 Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
2 Kings 6:15–16 AMP
15 When the servant of the man of God rose early and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was around the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? 16 [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.
WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!!!
Many staff members need a revelation that their elevation is contingent on their Activation.
If you can’t own your mistakes
if you make excuses more than you make results
if you haven’t made any drastic changes in your style of administration on the last 9 months
if you haven’t implemented any of the suggestions you leader has given you within a two week time frame
Its an elevation problem: You’re seated in a position your not ready for…That’s why their’s no Activation in your Dept.
3. Operation:
Definition: Performance of a practical work of something involving the practical application of principles or process.
b) An exertion of power or influence:
What’s Your Standard Operational Procedures As an Admin Department? SOP
