Jesus famously calls himself "the Light of the World" in John 8. What we forget is how this is connected with Christmas. We forget that before Jesus called himself "the light of the world" he was the light of creation. He was the light of life through whom everything was created. Then he was born into creation that is often described as a place of darkness. Join us in reflecting on Jesus' birth and understand imagery of the star and the lights on our Christmas trees!
