Our Resource

The Church
Transformation takes us from who we are to who God wants us to be.
We separate ourselves from the world and unite ourselves with the church.
We become seekers of God’s word, and, more importantly, by faith, we become doers of God’s word.
The church supplies us with all the spiritual resources we need to follow “the narrow way” which leads to life, it equips us for service unto the Lord, and it enables us to be overcomers of this world.
All of this is preceded by being transformed through the renewing of one’s mind and accomplished by the word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This is what it means to follow Christ.

Our Power

The Bible and the Holy Spirit
Romans 8
V. 3 - What the law could not do, God did through sending His Son, Jesus Christ.
V. 6 - For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
V. 26 – The Spirit helps our weaknesses; He intercedes for us

Our Victory

In Christ
Romans 8:31
Romans 8:31 NASB95
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
Romans 8:37-39
Romans 8:37–39 NASB95
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Life is not easy nor simple.
Serving God is definitely not easy nor simple.
We face the cares of life such as is common to man: death and life
The Christian faces much more. We have unseen forces (angels and principalities) that come against us who have powers we can’t fight against. At any present moment we are faced with the task of living, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead.
However, there is no powers, high or low, nothing that has been created, which can separate us from God’s love which He has for us in Christ.
Truly if God is for us, then we do not have to fear any evil power or person, nor any circumstance of life which may come against us.
In Christ we can be overcomers!
“Strait is the gate and narrow is the way” but never forget, “It leads unto life”, abundant life now - and eternal life in God’s eternal Kingdom.
Again - The church supplies us with all the spiritual resources we need to follow “the narrow way” which leads to life, it equips us for service unto the Lord, and it enables us to be overcomers of this world.
All of this is preceded by being transformed through the renewing of one’s mind and accomplished by the word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit, and this is what it means to follow Christ and to be an overcomer.
