Are you a sinner that is looking for a church to go where you will be accepted for exactly what you are, a sinner? Are you looking to find others that are just like you and have sin in their lives? If so then look no further, we have just the church for you. Every member in our church is a sinner. We like to think of ourselves as a family of sinners. We complain to each other and don’t even talk to some of our family. Then there are those members of the family we just stay away from and don’t want to be around because we just don’t like them. We don’t want to be with them, talk to them or to pretend to like them. Further, many of them are Christians. All you have to do is look at our fellowship on Sunday mornings. How many times do we seek out and talk to people we already know and like? How often do we reach out to others that we don’t know? I know I’m guilty of this and I’m sure that I am not alone. Do you like everybody? If you do maybe you should get counseling. In this church you will find that we fight over how things should be done in our church, we fight over what songs we want to sing, what sermons we want to hear, how to spend money and even the color of the carpet. We don’t always agree on many things. We don’t always get our way and once in awhile we even pout.
We are not a perfect church. We are a church filled with sinners trying not to sin.
For all of our faults and all that we do wrong, our church survives because it is also filled with Christian love and compassion. The things we fight about are small in comparison to what we really need-God’s grace!! We don’t deserve it and we know it but God is a God of love and mercy. There are some that will tell you that you have to do this or that or give a certain amount of money to the church for your salvation but that is a lie. The only thing that will give you salvation is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior,
believing that He died on the cross for your sins. You must be willing to repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness and if you are sincere you will be forgiven. Yes, you will continue to sin because you are human but that does not mean that God loves you any less. He already knows your faults so it comes as no surprise to Him. If you have received God’s grace, then you will one day be with Him. For now though you must continue to deal with a church full of sinners, people just like you and me but as we
continue our journey to be more Christ like in this world, we will find that we sin less
and maybe even be more tolerate towards other people.
Come to our church and you will fit right in and accept the fact that you need God’s grace and that is the only thing that will ever get you to Heaven. Religious works, deeds,
regulations and rules just won’t do it. Do you want God’s grace? All you have to do is ask. He just wanted me to remind you.
