Ephesians 6:13–17 NIV

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The Christian soldier must be strengthened and sustained by truth. A Christian solder is able to detect lies, deception, error and counterfeit by being well acquainted with truth.

Counterfeit hundred dollar bills are detected not by knowing fakes but by knowing the real ones so well counterfeits are noticed.Truth sets us free.

Breastplate protects the heart.

The heart is the organ which represents Love and Love never fails. A man fighting for his bride, a mother fighting for her children. Love binds us to one outcome - victory.

((Apache Indians)) would tether themselves to the ground. There could only be victory in their hearts. This type of commitment would cause most enemies to melt.

Courage can only exist where there is fear. Fear is overridden by love.

Love will bring you strength you never thought you had. It will have you endure the unenviable.

Feet shod with preparation of gospel of peace.

Christian warrior is prepared to proceed, progress, protect, and proficiently proclaim the Gospel of peace. The Christian warrior is a peacemaker winning his enemies over with the good news. They are so well acquainted with the Good News its message is second nature.

We preserve truth by sharing it.

Three Worn For Battle - We must be trained before the battle.

Sword Of The Spirit

Sword must be unsheathed to become a weapon. Your sword is sharper than any two edged sword. It is quick (alive) and powerful (effective, active) it is the word of God.

It is what Jesus used to undue the devil in the wilderness. Every accusation answered with the eternal infallible all powerful word of God. His word spoken by the Christian soldier will move mountains. It will heal broken hearts and break hard hearts. Not one jot out title of His word will go unfulfilled.

It will accomplish what is was sent forth to accomplish.

Shield of faith

The fierce fiery artillery of the enemy is quenched by faith

Helmet of Salvation
