Thanksgiving for the Rain in which we recieved

WE recently had a little rain while it was not a terrible storm like the wind storm of last year or anything that compared to the likeness of major hurricanes lie IKE or Harvey, Or even a sever thunderstorm that spins up tornado like the F5 that roared through Oklahoma City May 3 1999

Never the less it got me thinking while it was nothing more that a light shower the darkness that fell over was there. Storms like peoples problems come in all kinds of different sizes and shapes.

One thing that is certain its always dark when you are in a storm.

There is Hope I tell you there is real Hope.

The sun will always rise the clouds will again part and even the worst of storms like Harvey that had gained all your focus will seem like a distant memory

So Remember the Sun will always Shine. This is not the End but the path for the prize that awaits isnt in the darkness but in the SON of God.

Matthew 14:22–32 NKJV

Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

Matthew 14:33 NKJV

Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

There is allot to say about this scripture, Peter was the only one who got out of the boat apart from Christ he is the only other man who has ever walked on water. Remember

Philippians 4:13 NKJV

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Here we see this in perfect symbolic example Peter did the impossible through Christ Jesus

Sometimes what seems to be impossible to you takes just that first a step of faith relying on Jesus to carry you across the water to achieve the impossible. But it first takes that first step of faith

then the wind of the Storm comes

Who has felt this storm that we are all caught up in. I think its safe to say that the 2020 storm has reached all people globally while many of our personal storms seem like mount Everest when we are in the middle of the struggle the storm of Covid 19 has taken us all on our heels. Its easy to become scared its easy to become discouraged when you know not what is going to happen next. But I tell you today like peter if you take your eyes of Christ and His mission His Kingdom you will like Peter Sink and be crying out Lord Save me.

So how does one weather the storm?

1. Do Not Be Afraid

know that the Storm is Temporary the Son Will come back out and Shine so keep your Eyes focused on the Son of God he will be there to help you through the impossible situations of your Life

Remember for those in Christ Jesus we have not been given the Spirit of Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

If you have the Faith to just step out in the MIDDLE of the STORM He will give you the power to walk over it but be not afraid but keep you eyes on Him and Like peter you through Christ can achieve the impossible

2. Do not be conformed to the World

Peter was the only one with enough faith to Get out of the Boat and walk on the water to Christ be Like Peter

Do not wait on your friends to have action, If God calls you move towards Him it matters not if you are the only person in the whole world that is willing to take a step out in Faith . Take it for the Kingdom of Heaven will be yours

Remember we that are in Christ are set apart from the World they will not do act or love as we do for we are not of this world this world is of the Devil but we who are in Christ are of God therefore we even if all alone walk towards the Light in the middle of the Darkness

3. Wait on the Call of God before you step

look at what peter said Lord f it is you “ Command me to come to you”

Sometimes we here different spirits talking to us sometimes they are God other times they are of the Devil pretending to be God we must never take a step ahead of God look at the example Peter has left us with “Lord if it is you command me “

We must never take a step out of the boat first without consulting the Lord secondly allow him to call you out never go at it alone or you will too sink. It wasn't simply because Peter believed it was Jesus that gave him power over the wind over the sea to step from the boat and walk on the Water but it was Christ and His strength once He called peter he had eqiuipt Him to over take the natural elements of the sea of the storm with the Strength of God in which had created them

Remember 2 things

One Its I can do all things through Christ who Strengthens me , It is He that can do the impossible through us not us

Two as John 6:44 says no man can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him

We must wait upon the Call of God , Then Delay not a second more

You may ask how will i know you WILL KNOW with every ounce of breathe within you will know the devil will try to dissuade you harder than anything telling you all the reasons you shouldn't but the holy Spirit will continue to call answer that Call Leave the Devil undelivered answer the Call From the Living God, He want to take this storm you are in this muddy fifthly place you have found yourself in and turn the field into daises and He will if you only answer him today

4. My last point and I will close/ once you have answered the Call you have removed all doubt you have taken the Step to do the impossible in the middle of the Storm never ever take your eyes of Jesus

you will only sink if you again begin to look at the storm around you. Listen to the people around you the news around you the na sayers around you but if you keep your eyes on Jesus you will raise above the storm walk on water all the way ti the arms of Jesus and He will take that nasty mud and array it like a field of daises you will too become new for your home is not in this storm but in the Son with Him
