Central Idea:  Believers should understand that Christ’s position in the church and the life to come is supreme.

I.  Christ is the head of the church (18)

II.  Christ is the beginning (18)

III.  Christ is the firstborn of the dead (18)

IV.  Christ will have first place in everything (18-19)

V.  Christ will reconcile all things to Himself (20)
