Genesis 1:3 (NRSV)
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. John 1:6–8 (NRSV) John the Baptist testified to this light, the Incarnate. People came to John and they believed his testimony, and yet they will later struggle when that which John testifies to arrives. Why do you suppose that is?
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light.

The entry of the Logos into the world (the incarnation) is described as light shining in darkness
Evangelical Commentary on the Bible I. The Prologue (1:1–18)
Even though John the Baptist’s testimony was clear (vv. 6–9), still Jesus experienced rejection (vv. 10–11).
People came to John and they believed his testimony, and yet they will later struggle when that which John testifies to arrives. Why do you suppose that is?
The Book of Glory is found in John 13:1-20:31. In verse 7, Jesus explains that, “You do not know now what I am doing, but later you will”. Jesus also tells the people, “One who has bathed does not need to wash, except for the feet, but is entirely clean. And you are clean, though not all of you”.
The good news is this, John 1:5 (NRSV)
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. How should we then identify with this which we know and what to do with it? First ask yourself, who is your master? Have I given myself to Him? In the video Jesus tells the people questioning His authority that they would die.
