what is the run?

Before and after the run

Therefore, cloud of witnesses,

People to look up to, to see how it has happened

mentor/heroes of the faith, people you walk with closely,

Most influential people for me, youth pastors, interned in college, friends from seminary, pastors I work with

Find someone, people, walk through faith together.

What else can make the race easier?

lay aside every weight and sin.

Runners in 1st century

things that are not sins but may be in your way

Things prep us for the race, like warming up etc

Now we look as we run the race what should we be doing

Look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith

What was the joy?

Not only look to Jesus because he was founder and perfecter but he shows you why

The Joy- of what the cross was going to do

Didn’t like the cross

Summary, prepare our race, by being surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, reading your bible, unload anything constricitng you

Complete the race by looking to Jesus, where our faith comes from, and be reminded of his perfect race, to remind us of the joy and the reason we run.
