Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which

1.         WHAT NOT TO DO - WORRY

·                     Be careful - NT:3309 merimnao (mer-im-nah'-o); from NT:3308;

to be anxious about:

KJV - (be, have) care (-ful), take thought. – to be divided

·                     for nothing - NT:3367

no one, nothing; no; not at all, in no way

Matthew 6:25-26

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

2.         WHAT TO DO - PRAY

·                     everything - NT:3956 pas (pas);

all, any, every, the whole:

·                     prayer – to God

·                     supplication - NT:1162

to plead, to beg; that which is asked with urgency based on presumed need - request, plea, prayer

·                     Thanksgiving – grateful speech and grateful attitude

·                     Request – what you have asked for

1 John 5:14-15

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

3.         WHAT WILL HAPPEN - PEACE

·                     Peace – NT:1515.     εἰρήνη ĕirēnē, i-ray´-nay;

prob. from a primary verb εἴρω ĕirō (to join); peace (lit. or fig.); by impl. prosperity:— one, peace, quietness, rest, + set at one again.

·                     Guard – keep - NT:5432 - froureoo, frouroo:

to guard, protect by a military guard, either in order to prevent hostile invasion,

·                     Heart – inner self

·                     Mind – thought life
