We thank you that you are Christ Our Lord. We thank you that you are The Sovereign one. We thank you God that you sent hi this morning, but you are looking love. We thank you God that these are not just words, but this is our reality. We thank you God that we do not come here to worship and empty to look. I'm sorry. I assumed that still with your body, but we had to come to celebrate an empty team. We thank you that we don't believe in a god that is not real but one that is very much real God. We thank you that you are who you are and I pray to God that you wouldn't lie. I live to match up with that allow us to give you all the glory all praise and every single situation every single circumstance no matter what comes help us to give you all that you are worth. We thank you God for who you are and we pray this in Jesus name. Amen question for you. What's been running through your mind this morning?

Better question is what's been running. Do you mind all week? Has it been God?

How busy has your mind been because of Christmas? How much have you been rushing around in a panic? Even if it's just in your mind because all that after all you still got present to get call Busy has your mind been and what has been occupying your Miss whose face the question again is has it been God? What is it that has been causing you anxiety? What has kept you on ads this week? Has it been your sin? I mean, maybe you have sinned a lot this week. And maybe you are feeling the guilt and the despair. That seemed can bring have you been said this week. Or maybe even just a little down. Have those thoughts disable you in any way. Have you been lonely?

How long have you been this week? Have you been angry? What is made you mad? Maybe it's the people in your job. Maybe it's just spouse. Maybe it's coming across yet another article of another church-going hypocrite. What is made you mad? What has absorbed all of the space in your mind this week and has it been God? How have you thought about God this week? What have your thoughts of God been about how often this week has the brainstorm of all of your thoughts turn toward God. If God has not been on your mind, can I ask you why?

I know that you see that the title of this message is safe and secure, but let me ask you. How safe and how secure do you feel in your relationship with God this morning? If you don't feel safe, and if you do not feel secure, I want to again ask you why. You see for us. The effect of falling is insane or damaging they are damaging as they caused us to see our personal fall in this and our seeing all of the Brokenness of this world as greater than what God can handle the thought goes like this is from birth. I am not in good standing with God and if I have no right to say that God can't even look at me. And if I live in a fallen world that God has allowed to be this way how in the world could I feel safe and secure this morning? I may forget about the fact that I say that Jesus has saved me but I'll send with the best of them this week. Should I even feel safe should I feel secure? Then there's another question. What am I eating to baste the Safety and Security of my salvation on? And that brings us to today's test is a tiny little book of the Bible that gets ignored its sandwich between 3rd John and the massively controversial book of Revelation. But in this tiny little letter of some very big answer for those of us in the end the faith and I just want to focus on 2 versus this morning beasts 2 versus are typically something that you're here at the end of the church service or if you go with me to my grandmother's house that you won't hear her say these words after she's done praying. But I wondered if we relegate these words to the end of a church service or if we relegate these words to the end of a prayer if we missed the deaths that these words have for us the answer is yes. Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling. Interpretation blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy to the only God our savior through Jesus Christ Our Lord be glory Majesty dominion and Authority before all time and now and forever. Amen. Based on shoes words I have for encouragement for you this morning. The first thing I want you to see is where your attention should be. Zeus's now to him.

Instead of focusing all of your attention on whatever the thing is that's bothering you this morning instead of focus all your attention on the things that went wrong this week in your home on your job in our nation, but I want you to do is look at him. But Jude do doesn't want that attention to remain on the conflicts that is happening in the church. He doesn't even ultimately want their attention on what they need to do to persevere in the midst of the chaos Jude as he closes this letter once their attention on God.

It's not that the problem that they were facing one important. In the reality for us this morning. It's not that the problem is that you're facing aren't important. The issue is there is someplace more worthy the issue is that as someone who were the of your thoughts of your attention and your praise did you know? That the word praise simply means to express admiration.

Whatever the question y'all know, I like questions, right?

If the word praise means to express admiration, do you know what it takes to express admiration in order for us to express admiration? We have to first be in Connelly admiring a thing. The internal admiration of the things is what leads to the praise or the outward admiration of a thing many of us have been saying that God praise has been on our lips all week long when functionally we have been walking around praising our problems.

But our attention does not need to be on other religions. Our attention does not need even to be on false teeth or false teachers. Our attention does not need to be on politics. The answer is simple because God is the ultimate solution for all that. We faced weather tribulations or distress or persecution or famine 4th nakedness or hatred our problems are not worthy of Our Praise, but he is So what that means for us is that we must look at him do says now to him.

He does not just say it's the only God wanted there to be no confusion about who he's talking about in this morning's neither do I? Is that the only God is the one who is our savior?

But against who doesn't stop there. He says the only God our savior through Jesus Christ Our Lord. The God That should have drawn the attention is the one that sent Jesus Christ to This Jesus Christ was not just a man that Jesus Christ was not just a Prophet. This Jesus Christ was not just a good teacher. This Jesus Christ as Lord and He is savior. So I have a question about tired of me asking questions this morning HR. My question this morning it will you join me and focusing your attention on that God? Will you join me in focusing your attention on the god of the Bible? Because as we focus our attention on him, there are things that we should see second thing. We should see that he is able.

But the problem with sickness like this is that we make statements like this all the time.

We tell people God is able we tell people God is not a man that he should lie. Right don't we say stuff like that, but why we're holding these things that sound nice. I wonder if we really know what she means when he says now to him who is able when she said to look and when she said to look at him look to him who is able but he doesn't mean is that if God is putting the right situation. He doesn't mean if he has given the right tools. He doesn't mean if you grab your compass and you turn yourself to want to know if when you pray that God is able what he is saying is that God is able without any external help.

He doesn't need the assistance of anything outside of himself to move God simply moves. answer Genesis 1 and Genesis 1 Mercury says this and God said let there be light.

God was like do it. You're not playing God said let there be light and there was light bar 6 and God said let there be peace in the midst of the waters and let it separate the waters from the waters verse 9 and God said let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place and let the dry land up here. This is good news. For those that you was riding with you, there was no amount of a position that they can face. There was no greater. No greater threat than the one that he is bringing. Their attention has no one who can stand in the way of God. So he says bring your attention to the one who is able. He said bring your attention to the one who is far capable. He says bring your attention and fix your Gaze on him because his ability is infinite God's ability cannot be measured. His ability is infinite. It cannot be weighed God's ability cannot even be matched. That is no other more capable and more available to you this morning. You think God through Christ showed his power and his mic to us.

That's what he does through Jesus.

But here's the thing. I think it did something even more special to see hear what you were saying because God have an absolute power is one thing but God have an absolute power out. There is one thing but God absolute power being directed toward us is a whole other situation. Is it that you see the truth for those of us who are in Christ is that this is the case for us infinite power make its way to us quite that is what you want us to see is not talkin about God's infinite power in a general sense to talk about how God infinite power shows up in the life of a believer.

And waited it shows up in our lives through Christ. Now, we know that.

But I want you to look with me at a text in Hebrew so that we can see how we specifically shows up for us. Hebrews 9:15 Breeze like this therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant. So that those who are called may receive the promise Eternal inheritance since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first Covenant. the writer of Hebrews call Jesus the mediator of a new covenant. This is no general term that this right is using. This is an office that Jesus is occupying on our behalf. Did you know that Jesus has a job for you? My Jesus has taken up employment. He has taken on the role of the one who stands between God and man to bring together the two parties that cannot relate to each other in our day. We call this irreconcilable differences. the most of the time those ain't really irreconcilable differences most of the time people just don't want to change that got too much pride they can only show up as nerves they don't they don't have to deal with it no more but we actually had irreconcilable differences with Scott and the only one who could reconcile us to God what God do what God did was He sent Jesus to us in the form of man so that we could be reconciled to himself mediator mediator is an occupation that Jesus holds on our behalf so when she said God is able but he is really saying is that Jesus is in the room and has the power upset to do what the role requires Now if you take one a job and they give you an employee handbook and they give you six weeks of on-the-job training, but they never put you in the position to exercise your delegate Authority that you finally don't have a job. The difference is Jesus is not our mediator intitle. Only Jesus is our mediator indeed. He actually lives. That's what Hebrews 7 says like right now to intercede off mediate between us and God. Jesus is working a job for you.

you got to hit it because of these are just words and he is actually not doing his job you said God is able when he writes these things that sound good these are just words to make ourselves feel better

Jesus is actually living to mediate for us he is proving his ability or better yet his showing up his power from day-to-day

That I want to encourage you with this morning. He's got you.

Those were the company are they not what somebody say, I got you that mean it got you. I don't know how else to say that besides. I got you guys. Got you the one that we are fixing our attention on has the ability to keep you.

But he doesn't just say keep you.

He says he has the ability to keep you from stumbling and 2% you blameless.

Be the words of encouragement to the group of people that you was right into that. Remember she was going to write to them about that, salvation, but then ends up right in this letter because there are fake call boss Converse in this church running them up these fake Believers were convincing other people to believe as they were enable causing people to walk away from the face. If these people have crept into the church and if others have fallen for their lives what hope do we have? If these people have been convinced to fall The Following things that a false how am I to be sure that I won't fall prey to the same thing. How do I know that? But you beloved and this is an opposition to what the fake believe it when he says building yourself up in your Most Holy Faith and praying in the Holy Spirit keep yourselves in the love of God waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. What are we saying? Because on first glance when you look at these words these words sound like willpower and self-determination.

It's another opportunity to see God is another opportunity to look at God now, we all know that there are days where it gets incredibly difficult for us a man somebody. There are days where the problems are not just coming from without but I see the problems to come in from within there are days where you just can't build yourself up in the face there are dead, but you don't even feel like it. If that's the case, then we and them need somebody to help us. We need somebody to keep us in the face because we can't keep ourselves over to gets better. even though what we've read has been translated that he is able to keep you from stumbling. Is that is a constant attempt against God's people by the enemies of God's people the devil the world and the flesh are all constantly conspiring on how they can stick out their medical metaphorical feet and shrimp you and watch you fall on your face away from God Judaism. The world that Jesus himself said he hates you. But it's not just the world. Then we have the Devil Himself Through the Bible called the accuser of the Brethren which means that he is constantly before God accusing you. So now the question is, how are we ever going to make it out of this situation? If we have all these enemies that are conspiring if we have all these enemies in the NFL someday today, how is it that we will not fall that is only one answer in the answer is not fight your sin harder.

There's only one answer and answer is not pray harder. There's only one answer. The answer is not worship. And I Love to Worship what the best time you headed, but the answer is not worship longer. That's only one answer and it's not go to church more.

The answer is God.

Our reality is because we have these enemies within and without we need God like the god that Judas talkin about we need God to guard us kids. The one that we need to protect us and to empower up and the good news is he will That's the good news this morning is that he will even though there are other people in this church that he is writing to that are losing their minds even though there are others who are walking. Gospel, even though this conflict and drama juices you will be protected from it. You'll be protected from leaving the safe. Protected from the sand that seeks to entice you you will be protected from what awaits those who leave the safe. This does not mean Christian that you were going to live a sinless life.

It does me when you get tripped up. God will not allow you to stay there because his protection of his child. It's in there too, and he will pick you up and go will not shut dust you off. God will cleanse you.

So I asked the question at the top of this message. Should we feel safe and secure if we send with the best of them this week?

I think the question isn't should you feel safe and secure in yourself Basin when you send because we have a proper view of the Gospel. We know the answer to that. The question is argue repenting.

That's the question because if you are repenting that is proof that you actually believe the true gospel. Give me a true follower of Jesus repent because that is the great that God works in the life of a true follower of Jesus Christ. I want to look at a texting me First John 3.

1st John 3 says verse 9. No one born of God. Makes a practice of sinning.

It is evident who are the children of God and who are the children of the devil? Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God. Now she is the Distortion in our day. Most people say We Are All God's Children. I disagree with that.

Listen, I don't care if you don't like it.

The Bible does not say we're all God's children. The Bible says we are all God's creation.

But there is a difference. I'm a child and a creature. You might want to make sure you were a child.

The reality is if you would not repent and that is turning to God rather than turning to yourself when you send the try to fix yourself if if you are not turning to God for the forgiveness and the help that he gives you should not feel safe and secure this morning.

You said it? Because it actually proves that you are a child of the devil, but the good news on this morning is that you can find safety and you can find security in Jesus. That's a good news. You don't have to live a life that is characterized by send you can live a life that is free. You can live a life that is obedient to Christ and guess who's going to do it.

All you have to do. Is turn to God for the Forgiveness that you need. All you have to do is turn to God for the change that you need a believer.

You think he will not reject you he'll cleanse you. And he'll welcome you into his family and Believers just like the father who was waiting on The Prodigal Son. God is always there with his arms wide open waiting for us to return to him by the way returning to him is repentance. We complicate depends now. Listen, I'm going to be honest by myself again. Your people online. You said it's alright. I have been. To say well, I got to wait till I feel bad. to come back to God Southway 2 days 3 days 4 days a week and once I conjure up this bad feeling now, that's true repentance.

But if these words are true we have but to look at him.

If these words are true we had but to look at him and he'll do the work in and through us. This is not about a lack of effort. This is not about sitting around waiting for God to change you between that you do not participate with what God is doing right? This is about where true righteousness comes from. If you notice John says that people who actually are children of God practice righteousness. That means that there's some effort that we are putting in the watch this if God is not meeting our effort and hippies not empowering us to do it. It's still pointless.

This is why he says God will not only protect us from stumbling, but do Jesus he'll finish the work?

I want to reverse 24 again. It says now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great. Joy his what it is. Because God power is engaged to help us. Because he has promised to keep us because Jesus does his job. Well, we can be assured that we will make it to that great day where we will stand before God and God will not reject. God will welcome us. But I'll walk me into the kingdom of God will not be on our own Merit just like we are not a part of the kingdom of God right now when we get to see him, we would be accepted because of Jesus. It's because Jesus will not fail at his job. Jesus will perfect us. He's not perfect. That's too many trials. He's going to perfect. That's too many pain, but he's going to perfect. That's what great joy. Now y'all know Christmas morning is coming. Do y'all know what's going to happen on Christmas morning? They like no children are going to wake up.

So let me ask you what shows are going to have on Christmas morning. Great joy.

I want you to think about the joy that a child has on Christmas morning for a second. Think about how you what you see in their faces. Think about how they are expressing themselves. Now. I want you to multiply it by Infinity.

As I was studying these words great joy, I was reading the commentary. And in the specific commentary the writer says that's windshield says with great joy, we are going to be presented. He was explaining this Greek word means inexpressible Joy what it means the joy that Christ will present us with and enjoy that we will feel in the presence of God cannot be conveyed in human words. No, think about it for a second that when God is presenting. He's presenting.

Think about that because for me it seems crazy. that Jesus would prevent me with great joy, but just like me, you know you and you know, how far away from acceptable you

you know that there's still so much work that God has to do in your life in order for you to be conformed to the image of his son. But this text is a promise.

He will have no will have no needs to be terrified in the presence of God because the scripture says when we see him we will be like him.

So God won't protect us. He won't push us away. He won't turn his back on us. He won't look away. God is going to accept us. Jesus Jesus has fulfilled David's request in Psalm. 138. David said Lord do not forsake the work of your hands.

Jesus has not forsaken you. Jesus never will forsake you that's how Jesus says through Jesus Christ Our Lord be glory Majesty dominion and Authority before all time and now and forever. Amen. What is Juiced and he's not going anywhere.

Now people will leave you a man. People will leave you alone. But God is not going anywhere juices to the only God belongs Glory. Is expressed in the fact that there's not one thing that can not one thing that has and not one thing that won't happen without passing through God's very capable hands. and his power God flexes his power in the fact that he can literally do whatever he wants.

And there's nothing that nobody can do to stop them.

What you wants us to see is that that's the guy that protecting our lives. The one that can't be stopped. So the question this morning is aren't you glad about that?

Aren't you glad that that's the guy that's protecting you? Aren't you glad that descargar that's with you aren't you? Glad that your hard heart could not stand in the way of God getting to you.

Aren't you glad that just finished could not stand in the face of King Jesus, aren't you glad that the Devil Couldn't kill Jesus enough that he would not ride in power to free you from your bondage, aren't you? Glad that he can't be stopped.

So when she says he can't be stopped at since it's really simple. He ain't going nowhere ain't nothing. Nobody can do to stop him and his work in your life. That's why you said before all time. Better before anything was ever created. God was before you and me.

Before that was a devil. God was What did you say as in now? Tell me the best not one thing that can present itself in your life at this very moment that can stand against this God, but then you said forever. Which means that they will never be anything.

It's important because being able to stand before God's perfect. It is already done. This is good news because the power that you need to fight your sin is already done. The truth that you need to oppose falsehood, it's already done everything that you need to be accepted by God is already done. The question is will you look at them? It's so what's going to happen is when we get to Glory it'll be finalized.

See that you and I talked about this I say this because people are from up there. I'm sorry this week, but we had a conversation. And we were talking about why people who are believers think that at some point they going to stop Center.

This process of sanctification is Progressive. So what I'm not saying is that you won't send less. But you won't stop saying until you done with his body.

So that's not the goal. The goal is to look to God and for him to transform you. The goal is not you working hard and working hard and working hard and you tried that already. It didn't work. The goal is to look to him who is able.

He's able not you he's able not just church. He's able not to denomination He's Able He's Able he's able.

Will you look at them? Because if you believe that he is able to present you without fault. Then you believe that he is able to forgive you.

But if you don't believe that that you don't believe he's able to forgive you. And functionally if we're not turning to God we do not believe he is able with what we really saying is that Jesus cannot and will not and could not do his job.

Y'all hear me? If we don't turn to Jesus if we just believe that he's able to deal with our sin will say he's bad at his job, but he is not he is able.

So all I'm saying this morning. Is that God will do it? If you have placed your trust in him, if you have believed in him, he will perfect you you don't even have to worry about it. She's going to give you the desire to walk away from sin. He's going to give you the desire to honor him. Thank you that you don't leave us without the encouragement that we need.

I think you got that. You don't leave us without the help that we need.

I'm thankful God that you don't leave us without the hope that we need. So I pray in this moment God that you would wash away all fear all guilt or shame. I pray that you washed it away because it is washed away with the blood of Jesus. I pray that you would help us to operate you to help us to trust you with that this morning that you can make us like you.

God I pray for that person that came in here feeling the spare this morning because they send against you again and they want to get it right God. I pray that you would help them to see that you are going to do this in them. All they have to do is trust you believe you and you'll give them everything that they need to do a God. I pray for the person that is That does not even understand the words that I'm saying. I pray that you would make Jesus real to them. I pray that you can help them see that this this hamster wheel that they are on if Non-Stop and there's only one way to be right before God and it is Jesus. Do we all need to repent and turn toward you. We all need to see you got we all need to trust you God. We need our whole life. Submit to you not just our actions. Mine's not just my heart.
