The Celebration of Christmas - John 1:1-18

God Came to His Own

God is the maker and owner of all the world.

In seeing the mess we made, God stepped down into it.

Jesus existed as completely God and completely human.

Ultimately Jesus was rejected by His own.

Family

Christ’s rejection by His own was the plan to remove the barrier of our sin.

This was needed to make us God’s children.

Christ’s miraculous birth means we can be born again.

Believing is how we receive what Jesus has done for us.

Blessing of His Grace (vs14-18)

The best that we could ever hope to experience is beyond what we could

ever earn on our own.

God has given the greatest gift - Himself.

By His grace, we have experienced every spiritual blessing in Christ.

(Ephesians 1:3)

We now have confidence that we know God.
