Parents often have unexpected children.

For whatever reason, we are not always prepared.

There is much to do:

People to notify, so they can be in expectation with us.
So, others can help us prepare and accountable.
We make a place for this new person coming into the world.
In our homes and in our hearts.
We make plans and invest to see that they are set up for the best in life.

It is good to know when something will change our lives so much, so that we can prepare.

TITT: Mary was going to have an unexpected child.

God sent Gabriel to prepare Mary.

Gabriel said that she was highly favored.
What was he flattering her for?
“The Lord Is With You”
Assurance of God’s presence is threaded throughout the Bible
Still, Mary was troubled and wondered what he would ask of her.
“Do Not Be Afraid”

He will be called “The Son of God.”
God caused Elizabeth who was known to be barren to give birth.

The Word of God Will Never Fail.

In response Mary said, She is the Lord’s Servant and May God’s Word be Fulfilled.
Mary writes a Song in response:
Luke 1:46–55 NIV
46 And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name. 50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. 51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. 54 He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful 55 to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.”
It Expresses:
Joy, Humility, Assurance, Blessedness, Mercy
She praises Jesus, the Mighty One come is holy and comes to Save.
Mary is the First Disciple, the First Christian
She praises God for the Reversal of Her Fortunes and for others in the future.
The Lowly are Raised Up, and The Lofty are Brought Low
The Mighty are Brought Down, and He exalts those of Low Degree
He Fills the Hungry and Sends the Rich Away Empty
It is characteristic of the Final Judgment of God: the Powerful and Rich will exchange places with the Powerless and Poor.
Luke 13:30 NIV
30 Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

Jesus, the Savior of the World who comes with love and into the arms of a loving mother, Mary.

GITW: God sends us his messengers to assure us.

We often find ourselves unprepared, but God always has the best plans for those who love Him.

Like with Mary, God sends his messengers to assure us of His love and presence.
Many people may have been sent into your life to help you or reassure you.
Sometimes we call those people angels because they are a great help to us.
When we come to Christ, we become a messenger of God great love for others.
We can tell others that God find favor with them, that God is with them, and tell them of the plans that God has for them.
They may not be ready, but they may find hope in knowing that God is looking out for them.
Will you say like Mary, that you are God’s servant and may His Word be fulfilled in your life that others may be blessed through your?
Jesus is coming again, and what will your answer be when he asks you what you have done with His message?
Would you bring Peace, Hope, Joy, and Love to others the Gift of Jesus Christ today?
God is ready and willing to save, will you join him and say, O Come, O Come Emmanuel!?!
