Matthew 2:1–12 NKJV
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ” Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

Seeking the Savior means FOLLOWING.

In today's world, people want to choose their own way in life. We want a religion that does not make many demands on us; a religion that just makes us "feel good." We do not want to follow others because that would mean that we were allowing them to lead us instead of us being in control of our lives.
The wise men followed the voice of the Lord. They were being led by a star, not even a person or map. They heard the voice of God and acted upon that Voice. If you are going to follow Him, you have to know the source of the voice and recognize His guiding.
Recognize and leave your way and follow His way without question. God has a reason for His guidance. He has our best intentions in mind.

The greatest Christmas gift is FAMILY.

Part of the family of God, joint heirs) When we accept the free gift of salvation, we immediately become joint heirs in Christ.

Christmas reminds us to trust God's FOREKNOWLEDGE.

The prophecy was fulfilled. God works and draws us to Him even though He already knows what our response will be. We have the ability to choose not to celebrate the Christ of Christmas even though He is the only reason we celebrate. God knows what He is doing!!!! All through the Old Testament, there are pictures of the coming Messiah (prophecy). If God can orchestrate all that, why do we think that He cannot guide our lives correctly. We can trust God even in the tough times. Only when God asks us to do extraordinary things is when our faith is increased and we vividly see His hand on our lives. He must be in control of every aspect of our lives and He must get the praise. Believe in the Impossible. With man nothing is possible, but with God ALL things are possible.
Isaiah 60:6–7 NKJV
The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord. All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.
