John 3 13
The Thief on the Cross
Only the gospel of Luke says this. Mark and John say nothing. Matthew gives a completely different account as to what the two thieves said or did. If you go down to John 3:13 this contradicts what Luke said. Now are we to believe the words of Jesus or the words of Luke? If Luke 23:43 is correct, first, why is it in only one of the gospels if this is so important and second then it makes Jesus a liar based on John 3:13. If the words of Jesus in John 3:13 are true, then Luke’s account is wrong. Matthews account is different from Luke’s completely.
| !!!! Luke 23:43-Jesus talking to thief on the cross.
And he said unto him, verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in Paradise.
This is not mentioned in Mark, John, or Matthew

| Then are there crucified with him two robbers, one on the right hand and one on the left. |

| !!!! 40
| and saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself: if thou art the Son of God, come down from the cross. |
| !!!! 41
| In like manner also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, |
| !!!! 42
| He saved others; himself he cannot save. He is the King of Israel; let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him. |
| !!!! 43

| !!!! 44
| And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach. |

| Truly, I say to you, We say that of which we have knowledge; we give witness of what we have seen; and you do not take our witness to be true. |
| !!!! 12
| If you have no belief when my words are about the things of earth, how will you have belief if my words are about the things of heaven? |
| !!!! 13
| And no one has ever gone up to heaven but he who came down from heaven, the Son of man. |
| !!!! 14
| As the snake was lifted up by Moses in the waste land, even so it is necessary for the Son of man to be lifted up: |
| !!!! 15
| So that whoever has faith may have in him eternal life. |
