Demonstration

Jesus has just taught but now he demonstrates his teaching. Many of times God will give you a demonstration so that you will understand his teaching with clarity.

For the fist time since Jesus birth, someone bowed before him. This is evidence of his calling and public ministry

Lepers were not allowed to live in towns they were required to stay at a distance and yell out leper when they were around a group of people. They were cut off from all social and religious activities. They’re worship was hindered but yet he found a way to worship and get to Jesus.

He didn’t allow his condition make him think that God was not able to heal him.

He asked to be clean not cured. Why?

He has no doubt that Jesus can’t heal him. he says you can if you are willing. he still understands God’s sovereignty.

Just one touch

Look at how Jesus handles this. HE understands that he has been touched in only God knows how long and reaches out and touches him.

According to the scriptures there should have been no contact but faith transcended the statues.

Don’t tell anyone

Why wouldn’t Jesus want anyone to know what he did? Because he was more than a miracle worker.

If he can do it for me he can do it for you.

The centurion seeing jesus heal the leper opened the door for him to ask

This man is gentile

He makes no request but states facts about JEsus - real faith

Just speak

The centurion understood that gentile dwellings were ceremonially unclean so Jesus if your religion doesn’t allow you to come. just speak the word.

His faith goes beyond the lepers because the leper needed a touch all he needed was a word.

The centurion is basically saying just like I tell people you can tell spirits.

Jesus words must of hit the disciples because he’s telling them that their faith didn’t match the centurion
