Week #7 - Jesus is the Joy

Introduction

There are going to be “bad” days.

But that doesn’t take away my joy.

Not Naive & Not Spiritually Ignorant

Sometimes the valleys are deep.

But the Lord always will provide for us.

JOY: Not of this World (Psalm 30:5; Isaiah 61:3)

Weeping may stay the night.

Bud rejoicing comes in the morning.

crown of beauty/ashes,

oil of joy /mourning,

garment of praise/spirit of despair.

Joy Defined (Nehemiah 8:10; 1 Peter 1:5-8; 4:12-13)

The Joy of the Lord is our strength.

Salvation Brings Joy (Revelation 20:15)

Knowing our name is written in the Book of Life.

The outcome of the Cross.

What brings joy? (Isaiah 12:2-3; Psalm 51:12)

Be a Witness Because of Joy

Because He has given me Joy I need to share it.

And joy comes from witnessing.

The Joy of Jesus is our Strength

That you know Him

That you are on your way to heaven

Jesus’ Joy Leads to Revival (Joel 1:9-12)

Revival is needed

The world needs joy
