James 1:5–8 NLT
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
If I can take a few minutes to really try to help us understand this stable thinking thing. I would venture to say that all day we are always thinking about something.
Thinking about did I put coffee on last night? What kinda clothes am I gonna put on. Is my car gonna start? Is traffic gonna be bad? When I get to work, is that one lady gonna say something crazy to me.
Black folks, white, asian, rich, poor…always thinking. And thats while we are awake. Just because we go to sleep doesnt mean that our brain shuts off. It has to keep going. You ever wake up in the middle of the night. Oh shoot, did I remember the thing? I wake up sometimes with a solution to a issue.
On a good day, I think too much.
But here’s the challenge, most of the thoughts we have are not about how to bless God. We dont always think WWJD.
