FOLLOW UP TO THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST 04/10/2002

·         Take us back to ‘The Anointing” Luke 4:18-19

·         Show what the anointing does, and is meant to do. What does it look like???

·         Isaiah 10:27 and the burden removing yoke destroying power of this anointing

·         Encourage those that received this baptism to stay with it, even if there is no utterance with tongues as yet. Gain some testimonies from the congregation to be of help to those that might be doubting their baptism.

·         Encourage the speaking in tongues by actual words, and not just mentally trying to pray, as is more common for most of us.

·         The Enemy comes in to steal and to kill and to destroy…John 10:10

·         Mark 4:3-20 and “The Parable of the Sower” and how the enemy comes to steal the word sown. We have been commanded to bring forth a harvest, and now that we have been baptized in the Holy Ghost, we now have the power to carry out that command.

·         Acts 26:12-19 Paul’s statement while in prison at Caesarea to King Agrippa, one of the tetrachs that were ruling under the lineage of Herod the Great,  and  the Roman Governor Festus. Paul describes his conversion experience, further lending scriptural fact to being born again, and then being baptized in the Holy Ghost by Ananias. Jesus is not going to have someone witness of Him until that man is truly born from above.

·         Acts 9:1-20 and the re-birth, later being filled by the Holy Ghost, and immediately he is in the synagogue proclaiming Christ.

·         Romans 8:26-28 and the Ministry of the Holy Ghost.

·         Revelation 8:1-5 shows the importance of prayer from heaven’s stand point.

·         From Oswald Chamber’s devotional, “My Utmost for His Highest,” Do we really know anything about the risen life of Christ? The evidence that we do is that “His Word” is now understandable to us. God cannot reveal anything to us unless we have His Spirit. A stubborn outlook will effectively keep God from revealing anything to us. “If” we make up our mind about some doctrine, the light of God will come no more to us on that line, and we cannot receive it.

·         Make the invitation to those there that were there last week and were on the fence, and to any new folks that have come in, to receive this Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
