Introduction and Text.

Many of you have heard about this miracle of Jesus turning water into wine.Even people that don’t believe in Christ or follow him know this story well ,so the purpose of this message is not intended on retelling you a story about Jesus that you have already heard. It is of the Intention to Glorify the Lord,To Strengthen someones Belief, and to those who witness his Glory to grow a stronger faith in them whosoever desires to follow Jesus. Notice I didn’t say follow me, notice I didn’t say follow nobody else ,but yes I did say to follow Jesus. Im going to ask the Lord to speak through me as I open my mouth with great intentions and expectations in Lord . I want you to be aware of this, this ain’t about popularity with me or public opinion or even financial gain. Its about God’s Word going forth so that souls believe. So Yes this message is intended on Glorifying the Lord, Strengthening Beliefs, growing faiths, and following Jesus.But in order for all of those to not be done vanity there is something else that God needs you to know, it is the glue that bonds those other magnificent things together. Its what keep those other things pure and Holy.As a servants of Jesus Christ You got to do what God tells you to do. God has revealed this to me now Im revealing this to you. When it comes to his Elected children people are doing, but doing without his instructions. In other words its a lot of doing going on in the name of his kingdom ,but he didn’t say do that ,people are working without his instruction, people are playing outside of his playbook. At my job we call it free lancing in other words just doing what you wanna do. Spiritually If this behavior happens over time you will eventually find yourself in some spiritual crisis situations. I don’t want to continue to see us in crisis situations, we are in one now not only physically but also spiritually. Yes many people are dying in our community, but what really breaks my heart is that people are living but they are dead on the inside.So I would like to encourage all children of God in this this hour to do whatever God say’s do.So more people can experience the light of life, can Im use Jesus first miracle to share with you what happens when we do what he say’s do.Lets dig into the Word of God.Lets Learn from this grand event in Canna of Galilee, Amen.

Location- village of Canna, small town just north of Nazareth(big things can happen in small places

Event - Jewish wedding explain process and function in their culture, servants had year to prepare for it, it was sacred ,traditional, and very worldly.

Wine- Essential item used daily for dietary purposes, But also used to symbolize peace and prosperity in ceremonies such as this Wedding. No Wine would mean embarrassment to the wedding servants ,also it would have been a dishonor to the bride and her family, and Worst of all it would brought shame to the groom and his family it was their responsibility to have all things needed for this feast intact. Working along side by way of the servants.

Problem- They ran out of wine

Key people- Jesus, The Disciples, Mary,Servants, Governor of Feast, and Wedding Party.

Big Idea(Do Whatever He tells you to do.)

John 2:5

Who was speaking :Mary, One who had been addressed by an angel filled with the Spirit of God ,who have a relationship with the He she believed in spoke of in this verse. Even though she had not seen Jesus perform in this type way every she believe that he could perform. (somebody say the Spirit of the Holy Ghost)

Who was she speaking to? She was speaking to the same people that Jesus was going to work through: The Servants. The same wedding servants who was responsible for having the wine that they didn’t have. The same servant that had already drop the ball before.Lets give them another chance, but not doing it their way, this time we gone my way (We don’t always get it right, but He always does.

Now that is easier said than, because they are being ask to do what he say do, and believe that its going to work and they can even fathom how he is gone work it out. Have you been in that on the spot situation in complete desperation. Thats what they in now.

Ask yourself these questions ?

Can your trust a doctor who hasn’t had a patient?

Can your trust a lawyer to plead your case when he haven’t fought one?

Can you get on a plane with Pilot that you know its his first time leaving the ground?If you like me you answered no to all those questions.You right not to trust those situations.

But you can trust Jesus to make New Wine out of your failures and He don’t even need Grapes. You just need to believe in him and do.

Whatever he tells you to do! This seems like an simple task or an easy statement to make but the reality of the situation is right now here in 2020 going into 2021 everyday it seems like its a new challenge in this world thats keeps us from doing what God has instructed his servants to do…Examples are even instructions the world has so many guidelines, The Gov guidelines, Your Job guidelines, the doctors guidelines. All these guidelines say clean yourself, stay away from other folks and whatever you do don’t touch anyone else. They all seem all good and harmless at the surface.I encourage you to follow the laws of the land, but its more important that you follow instructions from the Lord. First and foremost Im a follower of Jesus Christ unapologetically .His word says in James 5:14. It says Is any among you sick, let him call for elders of the Church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.The bible say call the elders of the church, lay hands on the sick anointing them with oil and go to them in prayer.But thats not what the World says today is it(examples of what the world say).But This word of God was Coming from a true follower of Christ. One that was beloved and had a real relationship with the Savior. A Present Student in Christ.There are many Contradictions in the Worlds Standard in Contrast to God’s Standard , its been that way, wayyy before today.And as true believers we live ,we breath, we feed off of the word of God and we are counseled by His Holy Spirit.I know Im bout to get ready to burst somebody bubble cause i witnessed people saying this statement, have you heard it” well God gives you the word but he also give you common sense’.That have a little , to no truth to it , it just ain’t right cause God’s sense ain’t common at all, its one and only, its supernatural and it is Divine.For anybody that wanna wrap God up in common sense bubble, you go right ahead but that tells me you don’t know how big God really is.He has already warned us that the path that leads to destruction is broad and Ironically so is that common sense.So what must we do Minister Mario?Im glad you asked me. We must remain steadfast in God’s Word over anything else we do today. We don’t get true nourishment from this World because Satan is running free in it ready to end you. but we get our nourishment by remaining ,connected to the true vine which is Jesus our Christ, our protector, our refuges, our healer, our source to everything we need and more. I need yall to understand that today. This is why Paul reviled to us in Romans 12:2 . And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and accepted and perfect will of God. In other words you can’t think like everybody else think and still be Godly, You can’t think like everybody else think and still be Sanctified. You gotta be set aside in your thoughts, in your meditations, in your prayers. Im saying your source can’t be a worldly one. Your source cant be Cnn, your source cant be fox news, your source cant be Facebook or who in the white house, just keeping it real my stimulus check been gone, but his word is still going forward because unlike all the worldly measures you take, they all run out, they all are dead end streets, and the well eventually run dry. If you really just take a good look at it, a lot of those things are keeping what God intends on being unified its keeping them divided, so stick to the true vine.In saying that, Im thankful that God supplies living water ,that you have access to and you don’t even need a pale to fetch it, Jesus will just give you what you need. Jesus once told the adulteress, thirsty , Samaritan women that this water is everlasting, once this water is in you , you will never thirst again although your mouth may get dry sometimes. (repeat)

Jesus said in St John ch.4 vs 14 and Im paraphrasing for your understanding ,He says you will never thirst again because Im imbedding, a spiritual well inside of you, that is your everlasting lifeline that connects you to Godliness. We must remain tapped in to that Spiritual lifeline. Cause even your heart is wicked without that connection. Thats the only way we can tackle elements of the flesh, illnesses of the flesh, and carnal desires of the flesh. While we exist in the flesh.The only way we will have victory in this World ,We must access it through the victor of this world. The one who conquered this world Our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. He knows who love him,He knows who he loves, and this love is not based off of what say on Sunday mornings nor what your title may be at your church but God has freely given his grace, giving his Love to all that accepts him. He said this Love is Confirmed in You, byThe Son, by The father and by the HolySpirit by doing what he said do, how told he told us to do it. Thats how God is Confirmed through the lives of his true spiritually connected followers. Hear me good today you can not be confirmed to this world that we are living in and still do what God tells you to do, what is good, and acceptable and the perfect will God.Then that wouldn’t be his will ,that will be your will. It is He that Mother Mary had spoken of. It is he that makes it all things work together for your good and God’s Glory. Why because it is he that makes it all Perfected in us. We are fallible servants without He don’t you forget that. Yes He still Performs , and understanding how he worked in Canna at such Joyous Wedding Occassion should motivate us to obey his commands today if you want to experience true Joy and experience true life. Listen up, these are my highlighted points from the passage in understanding. In doing what He said do.

Understand that he performs according to his time.

Understand that he performs according to his Understanding.

Understand that he performs through your Obedience.

Understand that he performs according to his own Purpose.

Key Point 1 (time)

John 2:4 Jesus said to her,Women,What does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.

The Greek terms used Hour is Horah -to come upon a specific time and Come in greek heko means to come upon a time and events. This just shows how every step that God takes is on a specific time frame controlled only by him. Remember in the beginning of time God created the heavens and the Earth and after that he said let there be light and there was light. know that if God can Create somethings great as light just by speaking it ,into existence. He can also fix things in your life just by saying Let there be.

If God says

let there be peace in your home; there will be peace in your,

let there be sobriety in the middle of yours addiction, then you will be sober

It don’t matter what type of addiction it is ,a drug addiction, a gambling addiction, a sexual addiction, even a glutness addiction because they are real, power craving addiction they are real, Prideful addictions they are real and they are harmful to us. They are sin. But all God has to say on his time frame is Let it be. and it will be done ,What every he says it is time for, Yes that includes Favorable conditions.

When God says its time to bless your Career, you say yes Lord, when God gives you that promotion you say yes Lord.

When God says its time for favor in your Personal life, you say yes Lord, New Car, New Home,New Jewelry, New Clothes, New Marriage ,even got a lil baby in the baby carraige, You say yes Lord.

Let there be favor in your ministry, let there be favor with your financial investments ,Let there be favor with your business pursuits , You say yes Lord. You have made thousands of mistakes but oh you are oh so blessed, Let me be completely honest if you are not careful what you see as a blessing could be a hinderance keeping you from hearing and doing what thus says the lord. See we constantly tell God either knowingly or unknowing to what a minute, When he reveals to us desires of his heart we say wait minute, but when get caught in the storm, when we get tired of the test and the tribulations, when we get tired of sickness and death and we give God the desires of our own heart, and then we ask him to hurry up . For too Long many of us has desired God’s hand over God’s Heart, And people still wonder why we are in the middle of a crisis situation and God is saying to all his people wait a minute , my time for healing hasn’t come, but Just like he told Mary mine hour is yet to come.

Im glad the word say yet because i know he is coming according to his time to see about us in this hour. I’ve read about a lady with the issue of blood that saw many physicians but yet her condition did not change until she got a touch of Jesus. and all it took was a touch and a belief and the bible she was heal on the spot, this does not mean she didn’t believe all the other times, it doesn’t mean that she was completely out of touch of the will of God all the other times. This just means that she got the right touch this time. This time was just the right time for the right touch, in the right place by right one. In doing what God says do, don’t take short cuts ,just wait on the right touch, in the right place, by the right one. and he will perform and he will provide. Its just sometimes you gotta wait on his touch,We are in verse 4 so still ain’t wine( use Lazarus story if need be).

Key Point 2(understanding)

John 2:6 Now there were set waterpots of stone, according to manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.

What the writer John is trying to get you to see here with this illustration is this.You don’t see things the way Jesus see things. You can’t do things the way Jesus can do things and unlike us he can use anything to get the job done.Because Jesus is a Performer, and a servant is just a doer.See the performer can do with or without the servant, but the servant can’t do without the performer. (Explain the water jars use; Explain why they didn’t need them for purification any more because Jesus is on the scene. Explain what they say they are used for vs what he knew they where going to use em for was to make sweet wine. There are Times when you are going to have Trust him, and do what he says do, when you don’t even understand what he is doing. I have to be honest with y’all today, one thing that really gets under my skin is that christian friend that got all the answers, got everything figured out, and the scary part is half the time they don’t go to God to get any revelation. Thats because many servants today is try to out Perform the Performer. If thats you today out of Love ,my advice is humble yourself. Because there are things that God is not going to let you understand. This is why we are wisely taught in

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

because God understands things in a ways that we can’t understand. We must continue to walk in his ways and do what he says do even when we don’t understand that is the understanding . God told the prophet Habakkuk to look at the nation, watch and utterly be amazed. He said for I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe even if I told you(Notice God said something but did not say what the something was). Just Like these Wedding servants, Just like Habakkuk , Sometimes God has to show you because he already know if he tells you, you wouldn’t believe it. If Jesus would have said Im going fill these water pots up intended purification with wine. The wedding servants would have stop dead in their tracks and hit Jesus with whats, whys , and the hows. Its a lot going on around us today ,but let your heart not be troubled and don’t consumed with the whats, the why, the hows when you don’t understand his works.

Im tell you today( audience name) God is doing something in this day that we wouldn’t believe even if we were told, so we have no other choice but to sit back and watch him work and be utterly amazed.

God is doing something in this land that you wouldn’t believe , just watch and be utterly amazed.

God is doing something in home ,God is doing something with your heart, that you wouldn’t believe just watch and be utterly amazed.

God is doing something with your children and in their hearts, that you wouldn’t believe just watch and utterly amazed.

I know many of us are sick and ill but God is doing something in this very day that you wouldn’t believe , just watch be utterly amazed.

Haven’t heard any mention of the disciples of yet other than the fact that they are present .Because they are just sit back waiting to see what is going unfold. Sometimes you gotta be watchful , and prayerful , and walk in compliance with the word of God. Why??

The answer is simple. When we don’t understand how he is working but we do understand that he works in all situations . And Leading into our 3rd Key Point thats why you must do whatever God tells you to do, understanding that he performs through your obedience. Notice i didn’t say because of your obedience. I said he works through your obedience to him. I said that because it is a lot people that will obey a lot of other folks before they obey God. I can’t even imagine how it makes God feel. Knowing all the good that God has done for you, all the good that He has down for me , it got to be a hurtful feeling. Cause as a Father of my own kids its very hurtful when they listen to everybody else but you.

Key Point3(obedience)

John 2: 7-10 ( go to text)

You will find here in verses 7&8 they where working in blind faith but it didn’t stop them from maximizing what they had been told to. When Jesus told them to filled the pots up.Not only did they fill the pots up, they filled them up to the brim. Somebody Spiritual meter may be low but hang there my brother, hang in the my sister, because God will fill you up to brim and your cup will soon run over. When you get to verse 8 Jesus said draw some of the water out, and take it to master of the feast. The bible confirms that they took it even though they didn’t know what outcome would be the servants just took the water on anyhow. When God give you task you just take in anyhow. When God gives you word the Say, that you may not think its going to go over well, my brother, my sister you deliver that Word on anyhow. Because if God gave it to you, You are certainly and assuredly not by yourself. He is working through you, He is walking with you. Just like here in the text.

I want you to process what happens between verse 8 and verse 9.So they fetched some of this water out, and servants begin to walk towards the master of the feast with this water they fetch in blind faith. but sometime in between the time that they started walking and in between the time the water had touch the lips of the wedding master, Jesus had already turned that old water into new wine. Even though the world can’t always see the source of your new wine and where it came from. You do know your source and where its came from. Sometime Jesus just need you start walking so he can do what he needs do.

The bible tells us in verse 10. that ever man put out the best wine beginning of the feast and when everybody get drunk they sneak in the bad stuff, but Jesus give you Good wine at the beginning and he have saved the best wine for the end. He never runs out of a good supply.

When you do whatever God says do whenever you are serving him. He will use you to perform his Glory. Even though we are not worthy, the bible says that we are all but filthy rags. We are all sinner who have fallen short of the Glory God. But I got Good News for you today. When you are living inside the will God he will use an old filthy like you and like me to manifest his Glory by Presenting Good Wine! Which brings me to my Final point as I get ready to let you go on about your day.

Keypoint4( His Purpose)

Look at scripture of John 2: 11 This is the beginning of the signs Jesus did in Canna of Galilee, and manifested his Glory; and his disciples believed in him.

and that is God’s Purpose today as its was yesterday. In Conclusion, I’ve held you long enough. But if you do Whatever God tells you to do, regardless of backlash, and all that old worldly tradition stuff that makes you focus on other stuff instead of your relationship with God, that keeps other from having a relationship with God. If we can find a way to do just that then many who follow him just like the disciples in this passage.They will believe in his Holy Name. When You look at this passage alone it seems Like the disciples are just there and they ain’t doing nothing and these are the type of people in the Church House that usually get talked about. But if you know the rest of the story these are the fateful few that God used to do most of his works. Ain’t God alright., Thats good news ain’t it .What I’m Leaving you with today is Remember God’s love for you when he gave world his only begotten son, Remember God’s Commitment for you as he left his Heavenly Home to get frowned upon on earth for 33 and a half long year’s , Remember God’s Love and Commitment for you as the Romans soldiers mocked him and flogged him all night long. Remember God’s Love and Commitment for you, as you think about your personal walk with him, now think about your commitment to him as you think about his person walk up Calvary Hill for you, after being beating to a pulp with a heavy rugged cross strapped on his back with you on his mind, Remember about his Commitment to you as bleed ,Hung and suffered on a hill called Golgotha. I want you to think about His Love and commitment to you, when he mumbled his very last words “Its now finished , as he hung his head and release His Spirit overcoming sin of this world .Think about that Love and Commitment to you. Now that you know he was committed to you, he still let them put him in a tomb. Now that you know that he Loves you, he still had to let em put him tomb.He confirmed his Love and he confirmed his commitment to you. Just like He Promised when He fulfilled his Glory on that 3rd day by stepping out of that grave with All Power His Hand. As I leave you today , don’t forget that He is committed to you.As I leave you today, don’t lose tract of how much God Loves you, and don’t you never forget that all Power is in his hands. Whatsoever He tells you to do, do it. This is his Word , This is his Gospel and this is his truth in the Mighty Name of Jesus ,Amen!

Conclusion

Believe in him today, Know that He is working

Know that he can take an undesirable expectation, turn it into a desirable outcome.Just like he did in Canna

Know that he sometimes use unlikely means and unseen measures to achieve his purpose.Just like he used the stone water pots.

Know that he uses failable servants to complete his remarkable works. Just Like he used the wedding servants as he turn water into to wine.In that same way Jesus can use me and you.

Because we are unlikely candidates , we are highly failable individuals. being frank nobody would pick us for nothing but God. Which should give us more of a reason to depend on God. He will spare you the shame of running out of wine and save you from your own iniquities in the process, and the only thing that will matter to anybody recalls it, is how good and sweet the wine tasted that He set before them.
