Intro

Today i want to teach you abouot the sovreginity of God and then apply it to your life.
God is sovergin.
Ephesians 1:11 NASB95
11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,
To fully understand the scope of it, we have to go back to genesis 1. In fact we have to go back to befgore Genesis 1.
Before it was “in the begginig” God existed perfectly on his own. He diddnt need anything, was not lonley or bored.
Then in his creativity He decided to create the universe and everyting in it.
Now the creation of the universe clearly displays God’s power, but how does it show His soverginity.
God being of infinte power, could have created anyone of an infinate worlds/realities.
Display
However, while there are all the possible worlds God could create, not all of them are feasible - That is, some are ligically incoherent.
IE: Can God create a rock so big that he can not lift - logically incoherent.
So we look at the next line and see that some of the possible worlds are cancelled and only veasible worlds/realites are left.
Now what are the fewasible worlds?
Well, in one Peter could have affired Jesus 3 times.
In another kts Thomas, not Judas who betrays Jesus.
In another Sin does not exist.
In another CIOVID19 does not exists.
These are all different worlds that God could create, but out of these veasible worlds, God chooses one and then issues His creative degree and that one comes into existance.
Now why did God choose to create the world, this world out of all the others?
What it random? No.
God, surveyed all the world that He could create and chose one based on 1 charicteristic.
Whicjh world would result in Him recieved the greatest amount of glory?
And that is the world he created and that is the world we now live in.

When did the plan start?

Now an important question is: When did God initiate his plan?
Was it after his createn or before?
Well if it is after, then God is a slave to the future as we are. God set up the monoploy board, but as no idea who is going to win.
that is aNOT a sovergin God.
But if God’s plan was built into the world BEFORE hHis creative degree, then we have a God who is in totol control, even over free agents.
If God created the world and then has to see how it planned out, then sin would have come as a surprise to God and the plan of salvation is an after thought. something God had to come up with after creation to save us.
But a very impostant bible evrse tells us that this is not the case.
Revelation 13:8 AV
8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
1 Peter 1:20 NASB95
20 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you
God’s plan to send His Son Jesus to die for the sins of the world was already in place “BEFORE” the foundation - before the creative decree!
This means that God forknew that Adam would fall into sin, that Sin would enter the world and mankind would need to be saved.
God chose to create the would in which adim would sin, David would commit adulty and Peter would deny Jesus.
Matthew 26:34 NASB95
34 Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you that this very night, before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”
How did Jesus know that Peter would do this? Was Jesus seeing the future? No. Jesus was in full awareness of how this world would play out, because as God He created this world.
Look at these verses:
Acts 2:23 NASB95
23 this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.
Acts 4:27–28 NASB95
27 “For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, 28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.
You can see the powerful sovergin hand of God in full control of “HIS PLAN”. So much so that he knew that Herod and Pilate would be key playrs. He decided that before trhe creative decree.
When you understand this, so much makes sense.
Remember: God created a world NOT where the highest priority was creature comfort but Creator Glory!
Does this mean that we are”fated” to do whatever God has decided? No, we are free to choose, we are free agents. But God has already factored your chose into the plan.
theologically this is know as God’s knowledge of counter factuals, but simply it means that God foreknew your free choice and created the world with that choice factored in.

Where do you fit in?

Now what does this have to do with you?
Everuything!
God created a world in which He recieves maximum glory. Nothing in the plan was chance or waste. Everything exists on purpose to bring glory to God.
Why am i Rudy and another cell diddnt win the race and im Rudeta?
Was God surprised at my birth or at my sex?
Nope:
Jeremiah 1:5 NASB95
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
God chose to create me, my sex, my DNA was chosen by God. The same for each of you.
Why am i Rudy and not Ruleta? Chance?
No, because as Rudy I have the potential to give God maximun Glory.
You were not an accident or an after thought of God. You are not byproduct. You are chosen, you are specific, you are you, born as you, raised by yoour parents, experience what you have, born where you have and when you have - by the specific plan of God because you exist and your life has and can bring the maximum glory to God.
If you receive Jesus, live humbly, learn from your mistaes and live for God then your homnor will bring Him glory.
But if you resist him, deny Him, and luive in sin, then your dishobour will bring him glory.
Romans 9:21–24 NASB95
21 Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? 22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction? 23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory, 24 even us, whom He also called, not from among Jews only, but also from among Gentiles.
Are you going to be vessle for honerbile use or dishonor?
You get to choose, God in his forknowlege knew what choice you would make.
This knowledge equips the Christian to be toitally victorious in all of lifes situations.
You are NOT a victim of cercumstance. You are an intergril part of God’s plan on earth.

Conclusion

My friends I wamnt yo take heart rtoday.
God is in control, total control. His plan is for his maximum glory, but if you would be part of that plan and not resist it, then God’s plan for you is good.
Jeremiah 29:11 NASB95
11 ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Your life has a powerful purpose. You are part of God’s plan. 2020, as bad as its been, it part of God’s plan. God can the worst of situation into good for those who love him.
Romans 8:28 NASB95
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
