3 Truths from the text

1. We must ________________ Him.

Luke 11:2b. (NAS)-  “Father, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come.”

Psalm 23:3 (NIV)-He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

Psalm 106:8 (NIV)-   “Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, to make his power known.”

Matthew 6:9-10 (NAS)-   “Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

“God does not exist to make a big deal out of us.  We exist to make a big deal out of him.”

-Max Lucado (It’s not about me)

2. We must _______________ Him.

Luke 11:8 (NAS)- I tell you even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

Luke 11:9 (NAS)-So I say to you, ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you.”

Luke 11:10 (NAS)- For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.”

John 15:7 (NIV)- If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you.”

3. We must ___________________ Him.

Luke 11:13 (NAS)- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?

Psalm 118:9 (NIV)- It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

Romans 8:28 (NIV)-And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
