It was the first morning on the trail. It was cold but comfortable while walking. I came to a 3log bridge that had not hand rail. It was close to the stream that splashed on the logs as it rushed under them.

Without thinking or testing the logs I pressed on. Now in the middle of the bridge I realized I was stanking on a sheet of ice. There was no one around to help me. It was then I felt the steadying hand of prayer. Others had said to me "Glenn, I will be praying for you." Still, I do not know who was praying at that time but their prayers gave me "nerve" in that most nervous moment. I slowly shuffled my feet across till I reached ground again. "Thank you for prayer nerves."
