Isaiah 9:6 ESV
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

How much does Santa Pay to park his sleigh? Nothing its on the house
Salesperson, this sofa will seat 5 people without any problems, I said I dont know 5 people without any problems
Tonight this is what we are celebrating.
But from the moment of his birth, from his very conception, his life pointed to his death and ultimate sacrifice.
If we look at the virgin birth, why a virgin? It goes back to the beginning.
In the beginning God created the Heavens perfectly holy
In his image to live in harmony with each other and him
Adam and Eve brought sin
we participated in that
His only option is to give us his wrath and deal with us justly
BuT god so loved the world...
And he lived the perfect life that we could not live…
Became sin...

21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Laid in the grave for 3 days...
Overcame sin and death and that is the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and God accepted it.
And our response is to accept that gift and accept him as our savior He will not force it upon us.
