Don't Take a Holiday From God

Don’t leave your BRAIN behind
Introduction
Welcome it is great to have you joining us today @ Oasis. We pray that you have a great Christmas and have been blessed spending time with family and friends.
It is at this time, we are reminded, Christ our saviour was born. This was the continued process of the plan, God had for us to restore our relationship with Him
As we draw closer to the end of the year and people take time off to holiday and refresh, I want to remind us today of the importance, that we do not take holidays from God.
It is important that we keep our routine of connecting with God regularly.
The bible tells us that as we draw close to God that He will draw close to us, that we need to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts. Start and end your day with God, take the time to draw close to Him, lets pray.
Open in prayer:
Father we thank you that for your love for us that You would send Your Son to restore us to You. We thank You as we celebrate this time of year. Father bless you people in Jesus name. Amen
Point 1
Stick to the routine
It is easy to allow our routine to get put on the back burner.
Seek first the kingdom of God
Morning and Night
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Keeping discipline your friend and purpose it.
Point 2
Keeping discipline your friend
Show yourself an approved worker
2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Purpose the outcome that you desire for this time of year.
What you aim at is what you will get
When you feel like taking a break, maintain your focus on God and His plan for your life.
Point 3
Jesus Christ is the reason
Let us remember the reason for the season
Luke 2:1–16 NKJV
1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
The purpose of the baby Jesus coming to earth.
He is the King of King and the Lord of Lords.
1 Timothy 6:15 NKJV
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
