When God Asks Us To Hate

Luke 14:26 NKJV

26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

Luke 14:33 NKJV

33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

John 12:24–25 NKJV

24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

There are two lives within you! You have a fleshly (soulish) life and an eternal, Spirit life!

The things of the Spirit are from God! They’re eternal! They’re not of this world!

It’s the things OF THIS WORLD God is calling us to HATE!!! All of them!

Why?

2 Peter 1:3–4 NKJV

3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

How is corruption in this world? Through lust.

EVERYTHING is corrupt!

So many people are in love with corruption!!!

Everything of this world is corrupt! It’s all under the curse! And it’s all a counterfeit of what God gives us!!!

example: jordans. you’re all about the kingdom and all about loving people, but what if somebody tried to cut in front of you while you were waiting in line for some jordan’s? or a ps5?!

We have been given a divine nature!

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
