The Advent of Love.

1 John 4:7–10 CSB
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his one and only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 10 Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

A. It Is Unspeakable - I can't understand it, or why, but I know I have experienced it and I can never be separated from it -

Romans 8:38–39 CSB
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

B. It Is Unending - Jer. 31:3I have loved you with an everlasting love!  God's love is eternal!

Jeremiah 31:1–3 CSB
1 “At that time”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people.” 2 This is what the Lord says: The people who survived the sword found favor in the wilderness. When Israel went to find rest, 3 the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.

C. It Is Unselfish - He loves first

1 John 4:19 CSB
19 We love because he first loved us.

D. It is Patient & Kind

Romans 2:4–5 CSB
4 Or do you despise the riches of his kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? 5 Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.
2 Peter 3:8–10 CSB
8 Dear friends, don’t overlook this one fact: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.

E. It Is Unmerited - Cannot be earned or deserved!. ( His love is based in His grace!) ( Jesus and Jerusalem)

Matthew 23:37 CSB
37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

F. It Is Unconditional - It is not based on what we can or cannot produce, it comes from the heart of God. Man can never reach a place when he will not be loved by God! God loved us first, He loved us anyway and He loves us eternally!

G. His love is Supernatural, it is Sacrificing, it is Intimate!

Romans 5:8 CSB
8 But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
So then why would anyone reject His great Love? Because acceptance would mean repentance. Repentance would mean that God would have full reign to change us and we like who we are. We like our sin.
Mark 1:15 CSB
15 “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
Galatians 5:19–22 CSB
19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things—as I warned you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
1 John 4:13–14 CSB
13 This is how we know that we remain in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son as the world’s Savior.
