America is Full of Dumb, Smart People

Only in America, do we use answering machines to screen calls, and have call waiting, so we won’t miss a call from someone we didn’t want to talk to in the first place.

Here’s the best one, Only in America, do we wear a facemask into a restaurant, only to take them off when you get to the table.

II. To Be So, Smart. Americans Can Be, Really Dumb.

We put our trust in government.

We put our trust in science.

We put our trust in medicine.

We put our trust in the politicians.

We put our trust in religion.

You say, “What’s Wrong With That?”

There is a difference between Religion and The Gospel.

Religion: Emphasizes the importance of sacrifice, devotion, ritual, and how much people should do for God.

You can’t be saved by believing in religion!

The Gospel: Emphasizes the importance of sacrifice and work of Jesus Christ.

It’s Only, because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can we be saved from our sins.

America has put their trust in the wrong things.

2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV 1900

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

America has been blinded by the god of this world. (Satan)

Satan has placed a veil around the unbelievers, to keep them blinded from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Satan, is using the Covid virus to close the churches, and control people with the help of politicians, courts, and government officials, who hate God, and Christians alike.

The sad thing is people are falling for it, even the Christians.

The government says, wear a mask, stay six feet apart, close the churches, close the small businesses, don’t get a haircut, stay in your house and be afraid, because you might catch the virus.

I’m not afraid of catching anything.

I fear only God.

That’s the only thing we are to fear according to the Bible.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 8:13 KJV 1900

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the froward mouth, do I hate.

The froward mouth, is one who sows discord.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV 1900

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Job 28:28 KJV 1900

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

Psalm 33:8 KJV 1900

Let all the earth fear the Lord: Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

I can say, I searched through the scriptures this week looking for anything that tells me I should be afraid of, and I found nothing that tells me to fear a virus, the government, politicians, Doctors, Judges, or the courts. Only Fear The Lord.

III. People are Putting their Trust in the Wrong Places and the Wrong People.

People stop trusting in God, and started putting their trust in others.

Whether it be.

Politicians

Government

Religion

Science

Medicine

People have gotten away from God.

We Gotten away from Bible Study.

We gotten away from pray.

We gotten away from serving Him.

Let me say this,

Events are now in motion that are not going to change.

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes, whether you believe it or not.

If you read and study your Bible, you know what I’m telling is the truth, and things will not get better.

Things are going to get worse, much, much worse.

You say, “What do we need to do pastor?”

The answer is simple.

We need to use the brains God gave us for his purpose and get right with Him now!

Start serving Him the right way.

Start witnessing for Him.

Start attending church every time the door is open.

Stop making excuses for not serving Him.

IV. Standing Before The Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV 1900

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

There are two Judgments that man will stand before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christian’s will stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

You will have to give an answer to the Lord.

You don’t have a choice.

Unsaved will stand at the Great White Throne Judgment.

Know answer can be given.

I want you to think about this real hard.

When and if you stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ, how will you answer the Lord, about your Deeds and your service.

Will you say, “Lord I couldn’t serve you, because I was afraid I would get Covid 19.”

Will you say, “Lord I just didn’t have the time to serve you.”

Will you say, “The government wouldn’t allow me to witness for you Lord.”

Will you say, “Lord I had more important things to do, then waste my time witnessing for you.”

Will you say, “Lord I wanted to watch sports, my kids had ball practice, or a game. I had to work on my lawn.

You will give an account, You will have to answer for the things you have done in this world as a Born Again Christian.

You will not be able to give any excuses.

Yes, America Has A lot of Smart, Dumb People.

My question to you is which American are you?

Are you going to Fear the things in the world or God?

Are you putting your trust in government or God?

Are you planning on serving the god of this world, or Our God in Heaven?

Are you going to set on the sidelines or are you going to witness for the Lord Jesus Christ?

Are you going to push religion or push the Gospel?

Are you going to be a fence saddler, pew seater, or are you going to on fire for Christ witness?
