MOSES IN THE FIGHT (EXODUS 2:11-14)
MOSES IN THE FIGHT (EXODUS 2:11-14)
Years later, after Moses had grown up, he went out to his own people and observed their forced labor. He saw an Egyptian striking a Hebrew, one of his people. Looking all around and seeing no one, he struck the Egyptian dead and hid him in the sand. The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you attacking your neighbor?”
“Who made you a commander and judge over us?” the man replied. “Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?”
Then Moses became afraid and thought, “What I did is certainly known.”
MOSES IN FLIGHT (EXODUS 2:15)- (PURPOSE)
MOSES IN FLIGHT (EXODUS 2:15)- (PURPOSE)
When Pharaoh heard about this, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in the land of Midian, and sat down by a well.
Moses ran from a place of slavery to Midian "The place of strife and contention"
God allowed Moses to avoid death for his purpose
“When he heard this, Moses fled and became an exile in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.
Moses FLIGHT was not out of FEAR but out of FAITH.
Moses was not out of Phobia but Purpose
MOSES WITH GRIT (EXODUS 2:16-19)
MOSES WITH GRIT (EXODUS 2:16-19)
Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. They came to draw water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. Then some shepherds arrived and drove them away, but Moses came to their rescue and watered their flock. When they returned to their father Reuel, he asked, “Why have you come back so quickly today?”
They answered, “An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds. He even drew water for us and watered the flock.”
GRIT- Courage, and determination despite difficulty. Strength of Character.
Moses did not Quit
Regardless of the circumstances Moses never quit doing what was right. (CHARACTER OVER CIRCUMSTANCE)
All he experienced in his life he did not Quit
Zeal(great energy, enthusiasm) of a Zelig (ZELIG- a person who is able to change their appearance, behavior, or attitudes, so as to be comfortable in any situation.)
Christian Confrontation
Offensive not Defensive (Not PASSIVE)
Guts of a Gladiator (Prepared to Die)
Whether you are being oppressed or repossessed
Whether in laughter or disaster
While facing death or with a full breath
Facing bigotry or tyranny
DON’T QUIT
By faith he left Egypt behind, not being afraid of the king’s anger, for Moses persevered as one who sees him who is invisible.
Moses did not Quit but persevered
MOSES WAS BLESSED (EXODUS 2:20-21)
MOSES WAS BLESSED (EXODUS 2:20-21)
“So where is he?” he asked his daughters. “Why then did you leave the man behind? Invite him to eat dinner.”
Moses agreed to stay with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses in marriage.
Moses was Blessed in his layover
“May the Lord bless you and protect you;
may the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
may the Lord look with favor on you
and give you peace.” ’

I preached in West Virgina
Plane ran off the mountain so my flight was delayed
The Flight delay caused a layover in Atlanta for about 8 hours
I Finally arrived in Dallas at 2 am in the morning
After all of that my wife had fully decorated our room and it like a hotel room.
YOUR LAYOVER IS NOT YOUR DESTINATION!
