Introduction:

A. What Would You Call A Godly Leader?

What does that look like?

What are the characteristics?

A church will rise or fall on it’s leadership

A church will not grow past it’s leadership

B. My Experience With Godless Leadership

i. In a church in Big Spring, Texas

ii. They never meet with me with me being the senior pastor two years

iii. When they finally met with me it was to fire me

My fear is to come under godless leadership again

I. LEADERSHIP IN EPHESUS Acts 20:17-38

A. Elders - There Are Three Words Used For Elders

Presbuterous: An Elder - An elder spiritual leader in a local curch

Episkopous: An overseer - one who watches over

Poimeino: A shepherd - one who cares for the flock

As you can see by the words used, the words also define the work of a spiritual leader in the local church

Show me a man who shepherds and he will probably will line up with what we need in a spiritual leader
