Covenant: Ratified In Heaven & Earth 111305

Genesis 15:11-21 and the fowls, Abram was to be diligent and alert in this covenant, The LORD was asking Abram to separate himself from this world and its ways

Verse 12 and the deep sleep is the Unconditional nature of the covenant, Abram and us did not have a part in the ratification of the covenant

Verse 17 a smoking furnace (judgment) and a burning lamp (light of the world), this is the pre incarnate Jesus walking among the halves, heaven has no blood to shed, YET

Jesus took blood back to heaven at least twice, two times, once for the Old & once for the New Covenant, Jesus took the blood, our life & then HIS life back to heaven, and gave us His life!!!

What God has proclaimed in heaven, is now ratified on this earth, and the blood as a symbol of that covenant is taken back to heaven, Hebrew 9:22-28

Covenant is a statement that what I have is yours, and what you have is mine

The life is in the blood, Leviticus 17:11-14, ATONEMENT the blood of the covenant is The LORD’s and so is the fat of the sacrifice, The Father received The Blood of Christ, and we received the LIFE of Christ on Pentecost, and it has never left!!! That is COVENANT!!!

The sacrifice is consumed, it is accepted, when our flesh is on the altar it is also consumed as a place of death, it is accepted, and it is replaced with more of The LORD

Bind the sacrifice with cords, Psalm 118:27…we are the sacrifice

Covenant between God and man is cut on the earth! Man while on this earth must choose to obey the covenant, the covenant is Unconditional but the blessings are conditional, man and man on this earth must choose to come under the covenant

Verse 18 and the river EUPHRATES, The LORD is setting the boundaries of His covenant land, David represents the Tabernacle, not permanent, Solomon represents the Temple, permanence of the kingdom, of rest and peace

Verses 19-22 are those who will be displaced to establish this kingdom and covenant, as we are still seeing today, now Israel is giving back part of their land!!! Gaza

Having our minds renewed to the reality of the Old Covenant blessings, puts reality, puts a tangible perspective on the New Covenant

Because of Abram we are hooked backwards into the blessing
