Letting go of old Baggage

Praying from God’s Throne room. Part 1
Happy New year,
As we begin 2021, I believe God is inviting us, his church to pray,
Prayer is how we develop intimacy with God, is how our joy is made complete, how we learn from our Heavenly Father, how we hear his voice, how our faith is build, revelation comes to us through prayer.
Our Heavenly Father is inviting you and me to enter into a new level of relationship with Him.
John the Apostle in the island of Patmos saw a portal leading to the throne room
Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."
Rev 4:2 At once I was in [special communication with] the Spirit; and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne.
I believe your Heavenly wants to welcome you into His presence, in the Throne room.
Jesus taught us how to pray.
And said this right after
Mat 6:14 For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Mat 6:15 But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.
To pray we need to have clean hearts,
Let’s begin 2021 right, getting ready of any baggage from 2019 or any of the previous years.

Forgiveness

1 Is a choice.

Forgiveness: Letting go of grudges and bitterness. When someone you care about hurts you, you can hold on to anger, resentment and thoughts of revenge — or embrace forgiveness and move forward.
Forgiveness is a choice that we all have. Forgiveness is not limited to some people, we are all able to forgive. Is a choice
Sometimes people comes to see me, to tell me that, they can’t forgive, that they have tried many times and they can’t forgive.
I’m sorry to say, you are not that special, if you indeed surrender your life to Christ, He will give you the grace to forgive.
In the Greek the word is Aphieme, is to let go leave behind all the offenses, the bitterness any desire for revenge.
God would not ask you to forgive, unless it was possible or that, He, himself would help you to do it.
Until we understand and experience what forgiveness is, we will not be able to forgive others.
This is what God did for us, in Jesus, God forgave us for all our sins, past present and future , all we need to do is ,ask, for forgiveness, Jesus already paid the price, He took our place on the cross, and because he had no sin, God accepted His perfect sacrifice.
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was crushed for our wickedness [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing]; The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray, We have turned, each one, to his own way; But the LORD has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing] To fall on Him [instead of us]. [1Pe_2:24-25]

2 Forgiveness is unlimited.

Mat 18:21 Then Peter came to Him and asked, "Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? Up to seven times?"
Mat 18:22 Jesus answered him, "I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.
As many times as needed,
God will not ask of you something He is not willing to do, we must forgive as many time as necessary, every offense,
Some of us get a little more offended than others, you will have the opportunity to forgive more often.
Jesus went on to tell a parable about an unforgiving servant.
Mat 18:23 "Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wished to settle accounts with his slaves.
Mat 18:24 When he began the accounting, one who owed him 10,000 talents was brought to him.
Mat 18:25 "But because he could not repay, his master ordered him to be sold, with his wife and his children and everything that he possessed, and payment to be made.
Mat 18:26 So the slave fell on his knees and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.'
Mat 18:27 And his master's heart was moved with compassion and he released him and forgave him [canceling] the debt.
Mat 18:28 But that same slave went out and found one of his fellow slaves who owed him a hundred denarii; and he seized him and began choking him, saying, 'Pay what you owe!'
Mat 18:29 So his fellow slave fell on his knees and begged him earnestly, 'Have patience with me and I will repay you.'
Mat 18:30 But he was unwilling and he went and had him thrown in prison until he paid back the debt.
Mat 18:31 When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and they went and reported to their master [with clarity and in detail] everything that had taken place.
Mat 18:32 Then his master called him and said to him, 'You wicked and contemptible slave, I forgave all that [great] debt of yours because you begged me.
And He ends this way
Mat 18:33 Should you not have had mercy on your fellow slave [who owed you little by comparison], as I had mercy on you?'
Mat 18:34 And in wrath his master turned him over to the torturers (jailers) until he paid all that he owed.
Mat 18:35 My heavenly Father will also do the same to [every one of] you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart."
There is a costly price for unforgiveness, we go into a spiritual prison, we are tortured while we are there,
the enemy is very clever in deceiving us to think that our minor dislike of the person is nothing.

3 Keep forgiving.

God’s desires for us, is that we walk in forgiveness, we will know we forgave, when there is no residue of bitterness or hate in us, when we are able to love and embrace our brother or sister, when we are uncomfortable with a person, we are not there yet.
1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed out of death into Life, because we love the brothers and sisters. He who does not love remains in [spiritual] death.
1Jn 3:15 Everyone who hates (works against) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer [by God's standards]; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. [Mat_5:21-23]
1Jn 3:16 By this we know [and have come to understand the depth and essence of His precious] love: that He [willingly] laid down His life for us [because He loved us]. And we ought to lay down our lives for the believers.
About 6 years ago I had dream
I went up inside of elevator when with a number of people I didn’t know, but when we arrive, I saw many of our friends there, the food looked great, and all the sudden I saw a friend that I was, not quite right with, I felt uncomfortable around him, he came to me and gave me a big rug and I woke up.
It was clear why God gave me that dream, I needed to be restored into fellowship with my friend, we have both asked forgiveness to each other, but we still both right, and God began to show me where my response was wrong.
Whatever is deceiving us from fellowship, needs to die, so we can be free. For me was my believe that I was right, ask God how he sees it, our opinion doesn’t really count.
Henry opukahaia had to forgive his people, his culture before he began to pray for Hawaii, Hawaii was part of the most tragic memories he had, when at the age of 9 he witness his whole family be put to death.
Forgiveness is a choice,
Is unlimited
And we must keep forgiving.
making Jesus the lord of our lives
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16
To receive Him we need to accept Him as God’s son, repent from our sins and a life of selfishness, ask Him to be your Lord and savior, not that you deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If this is your desire today, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner, I’m sorry for my sins, I’m willing to turn away from my sins.
I receive Christ as my savior,
I confess him as Lord
from this moment on I want to follow and serve him,
in the fellowship of his church,
In Jesus name. Amen!
1Cor 11
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
Partaking of the Supper Unworthily
27 So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.
