What does it take
What does it take?
Fulfill great command & great commission
Jesus established the church…we can’t do it all alone
Acts 2:42-picture of early church-learning about God, learning to love one another by working together to help one another know God more and help others know God.
Can imagine that there is a lot of work involved in this!
-Acts 6:1-4-apostles figure this out quickly! Practically speaking there are a lot of things that have to happen for a group of people to come together and engage in worship, study, mutual encouragement and mission (Get’s even more complicated when you start to consider that they’ve all got families, jobs, etc to take care of.)
-Paul relates it to being a body. 1 Cor 12
-many parts, God arranged them. Each of you is a part.
-this is the definition of ministry.
God has arranged the parts of True North. All of the parts work together to help us all work toward those goals of loving God and loving others.
-check up: what are the parts of True North; how well are they working.
-setup-need more (tech setup, hospitality, prayer, worhip)
-small groups-more
-children’s ministry. Heart. Want to be intentional about serving/training the next generation. (Train up a child,-Prov 22:6) Address issues of society…teaching kids to look to Jesus. Once/month… Learn from serving. More people involved, more the duties are spread.

Why? Goal here is not to guilt anyone into volunteering time. Reality is, though, that the church is meant to be a place for us all to work together. Ministry is for all of us. Hope to inspire you to see that God is doing something great here. That serving in the church is one of the best ways to grow in your faith. We have the opportunity to make a real difference in this community, and will be able to do it more as we all walk in step out in faith and take part in the work.
