The Gold of His Glory 01/09/05

Glory – biblical Law of First Mention, Genesis 31:1, and Jacob’s glory – his wealth

God is displayed by His muchness, His weigthiness, He manifests this

1 Chronicles 22:14 8,000,000# of Gold, 80,000,000# of silver in Solomon’s temple

2 Chronicles 1:15 in Solomon’s day, silver and gold as common as stones

20 ounce gold nails used in the temple, 2 Chronicles 3:9

2 Chronicles 5 all, silver and gold into temple, then the Glory falls

The treasure was part of the temple

God is showing in type the Glory that is to be upon His church, we are His temple now

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 this glory is put into earthen vessels

Glory &Gold is impervious to the ravages of time. It is not tarnished by air, water or most corrosives; and it can be melted down time and again without shedding any of its quality. A single ounce can be drawn out to make an unbroken wire 35 miles long or hammered into a sheet 1/250,000th of an inch thick. Bible Encyclopedia

Haggai 2:5-9 silver first, and then gold, redemption first and then the glory, in the natural

we just want the gold and lets skip the silver

The Glory of the Latter House is greater than the glory of the former house

8,000,000# of gold, and 80,000,000# of silver are pale in comparison to the latter temple

            which is you and me!!!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

Back to 2 Chronicles 5, silver first,  gold next, and then the Shekinah, we are first

redeemed as in silver, and then take on His glory as in gold, and then the

            Shekinah

The only poor thing about God is the poverty mindset of His people

The LORD is trying to get us to renew our minds to the true value of silver and gold, as

the silver and gold are His, and He wants to share it with us, but can’t.

Proverbs 23:7 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee…if we think small, we think poor

Proverbs 29:18 18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. This congregation must catch the vision that leadership is seeing

The vision of revival is not dead, hence all the folks here from Harvest.

Revival is only one effect of His Glory coming. Revival is a manifestation of His Glory.

We seek His face, and once we have His face, we will see His Glory as it bursts forth

Worship is giving back to The LORD the best that He has given us.
