The Image of God
The Image of God
Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”
God created humankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them,
male and female he created them.
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”
Think of a video that you see on Youtube or a picture that you appreciate on Instagram. It can truly move you and change you, Great movements begin with pictures and ideas shared so Social Media. But still, those things are just the image of a bigger reality. Watching a video of someone you like is one thing, but getting to know that person face to face is a much deeper and complete experience. We are just here reflecting a bigger and deeper reality... God
We cannot see God clearly today in Humankind!!
He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves,in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,
In Jesus you can recover your original identity!!
Suddenly any situation in my life gets ruled by my supreme identity and worth as God's image-bearer. For example, if a get sick. It's not only because of the cause and effect of a virus making my body hurt. But Now my sickness is showing something to me, to others, and to the heavenly realities. If I respond in faith knowing that God is working thru even my sufferings, then I can show others that He is trustworthy even in painful situations. I'm showing God, I'm fulfilling my purpose and experiencing what He created me for, to be His partner in showing Who He Is.

A: Male and Female, boy and girl. Your purpose is not in your gender nor in how healthy or rich you are. You are God's image and that's what makes you supremely important and worthy. You reflect the supreme reality of God.
Q2:What do you think it says about God that he invites humans to rule with him?
A: God didn't need to do this but He doesn't what us to be only recipients of His goodness but participants also.
