1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
2020 has been a year of unbelievable change...
Our lives
Our Country
Our World has forever changed...
The culture of our nation
The context in which we perceive right and wrong has changed - a different set of colored glasses has been put on and there is now a hue that is different.
Socially
Politically
Culturally
Racially
even Medically
Everything is upside down - sideways… skewed...
But One thing that has not changed...
God's Been Good
God's Been Good

God’s been good in ALL OF 2020
There have been a lot of negatives, but God’s been good!!!

to be blessed, to be praised to be adored...
O my Soul....
Psalmnist is having a conversation with himself...
self… God’s been good to me...
self… God’s just good...
self - my soul, my being, my mind, my heart, my intellect, my emotion, my feelings, my perceptions...
SELF… GOD’S BEEN GOOD....
and tonight - as God’s people, I just want to say… GOD’S BEEN GOOD...
HE IS WORTHY OF:
Honor, glory, blessing
praise
thankfulness - God’s been Good

we need to just stop and recognize some of the benefits God has given to us!!!
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Salvation
who forgiveth...

PAST
PRESENT
FUTURE
HEALTH
“…who healeth all thy diseases;”
all disease is a sickness of sin
Cancer
heart problems
lung
blood disease - leukemia
He healeth all thy diseases...
all the ramifications of sin are healed at salvation
there may be sickness of the temporal body
But there is no sickness in the eternal...
He healeth all thine diseases...
though the sickness of the flesh is harming & hurtful - it is for but a moment...
compared to eternity - it is just a moment...
Redeemed Life
“4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;...”
Our life has been redeemed
bought back...
Benefits of God being Good -
A redeemed life...
Crowns of Graciousness
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Lovingkindness
tender mercies
these are crowns he places on our heads...
Others can see the graciousness and bounty and love that God has for us - he places it on our heads as a crown...
The Loving favor of God on my life...
what could be better?
wealth? that disappears like a cloud
fame; that is fragile and empty as humanity
success: prideful self satisfaction that does not satisfy...
GOD’S BEEN GOOD.... IN MY LIFE… I’VE BEEN BLESSED BEYOND MY WILDEST DREAMS WHEN I GO TO SLEEP EACH NIGHT- THOUGH I’VE HAD MY SHARE OF HARD TIMES… I WOULDN’T CHANGE IF I COULD… ‘CAUSE THROUGH IT ALL… GOD’S BEEN GOOD
5. Blessings of life...

DISCOURAGED ONE - LOOK UP… GOD’S BEEN GOOD
