OFF WITH THE OLD
OFF WITH THE OLD
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
Fear is banished 1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
2. Love is stronger than death (Romans 6:9)
For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
3. Good triumphs over evil (2 Corinthians 2:14)
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.
4. Our needs can be met in Christ (Philippians 4:19)
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
5. Captives can be set free (Luke 4:18)
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,
6. Hope can e restored (Romans 5:5)
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
7. Diseases can be healed (Matthew 8:17)
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.”
8. Peace can prevail (John 14:27)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
9. Joy can reign (John 16:24)
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
10. Failures can be redeemed (Romans 8:28)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
