Consider - To perceive and see clearly to come to a right conclusion.
Last week, last year, we talked about the Mind, how we should not mind that, those things outside of The Joy of God, The Promises of God and The Truth of God, but only mind God!
Imperative
In this New Year, this season of refreshing, we need to examine our position with God to ensure that we are stabilized in His Word and Promises!
Enough of this being moved because of the circumstance, the news report, or any report outside God’s Report, we must hunker down now and embrace ourselves for whatever is to come!
I have come to realize, that sometimes, my imagination is the crux of my frustration!
Imaginations - A shaping, a thought!
If you allow it, those thoughts and imaginations will cause you to become worry, fear, anxiety, doubt, disbelief, and troubled!
Abraham - Lied because of what he imagine would happen!
Moses called to receive The Oracles of God and Israel, because they could not see Moses, moved Aaron to create a golden calf, according to their imagination of God!
When God speaks, take nothing else into consideration but His Word!
He is faithful and true, this should go without saying, but I just believe God wants us to be reassured of this message, so that when the seasons come, you will faint not because you are girded up in His Word and Power!
We must be consistent in our faith, continuing in the faith, even when things do not work out as we hoped, we must rest on God’s Will!
See, many are praying to God for His Will to be done, but truthfully, they want their will to be done!
God is not mocked, He sees your heart, you cannot fool God!
The Children of Israel had The Tabernacle of Witness (Testimony) in their presence! They had evidence of God’s Glory and His truths, but yet they considered it not because their flesh spoke louder to them than The Holy Spirit!
Paul says in Galatians 3 “O foolish Galatians, Who has bewitched you that you should not obey The Truth. . .?”
Paul goes on to say that, Jesus was clearly crucified in your eyes, “Witness,” and you did not receive The Spirit by the law, but only by hearing of faith!
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The Word of God!
What are you considering?
We have seen God move mightily, we have evidence of His Power and Majesty, but yet, at times, we allow our minds to consider the worst, when God has already given us His Best!
It could be because it has not manifested as I imagined it to be, therefore, I consider my own imagination more than The Promises of God!
This is why I believe Jesus tells us where we should not put our value! Luke 12:34 (NKJV) “34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Treasure - What you value. The storage place of that value. Your memory is a treasure. Hiding place, intangible things.
Jesus is teaching us in this parable that where our thoughts are, our heart is! Because your thoughts have value, and you treasure your imagination, so that is where your heart is!
I cannot see your imaginations but we can see your actions, and we all know that actions speak much louder than words!
“Your heart will be there also. . .” The Jews of that time typically perceived the heart as the seat of intelligence and will.
Therefore, we can conclude, from this perspective, that our choices and actions are shaped by the things we consider the most!
This is why Jesus is getting our attention to God and away from our natural thinking!
Because what you consider the most, you will become that; “As a man think, so is he”
Jesus is telling us to move away from considering so much the needs of life and rest in knowing that God knows you have need of these things, so live your life as such!
How? By being consistent in your faith, consistent in your walk and talk and consistent with God!
Have you considered this; that my worry, frustration, and troubled mind, could be blamed on me not examining myself? 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NKJV) 5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
When I know His Word is true, but yet not mind Him, I mind that, therefore; my heart is where I treasure, instead of treasuring the Creator of my heart, then I alone am to blame! Galatians 2:18 (NKJV) 18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
Jesus Christ has told me that I have the victory in Him, He has assured me that His Power, The Holy Spirit, lives in me! I must consider Him, and not consider the less than things, because in Him, I am able to keep moving forward in faith because I know that He has already done the work!
Therefore, I take Him at His Word - Because you believe, you are blessed! This New Year, I will refuse to consider myself in lack, I refuse to consider myself in sickness, and not healed, I refuse to consider my ministry to be defeated!
God provides for all, therefore, if I know He can do it for the ravens, how much more valuable am I?
David said; “I have been young, and now I am old. . .” He considered the former, and perceived that only by The Power of God, I am still here!
