God’s Time is not Man’s Time.

Psa 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
This day This phrase places a stop. A period to the running sentence if you will.......In this Psalm this 24th verse denotes a change that is brought on by the actions and grace of God...............It is believed that this is a kingly psalm celebrating a victory of some sort.......Some theologians believe it was written to commemorate the building of the temple or the wall of the city of Jerusalem.......But we do know that it signifies God’s awesomeness in the mist of His people and the life changing effects that it had and has in their lives........ And because of the day of change..we should rejoice and be glad in it......
It only took a day to make life changes in the scripture......God doesn’t need a new year. He can change your situation this day....
In Gen 4:14 When God drove Cain out of Eden to be a fugitive and toil the earth with poor yield. Cain says to God “ Behold you have driven me out this day from the face of the earth to be a fugitive and a vagabond........
In Gen. 25: 33 Jacob changed his life as well as Esau’s when persuaded Esau to sell his birthright for a bowl of pottage....” And Jacob said, Swear to me this day: and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright to Jacob.
The four lepers of Israel during the famine of Elisha, realized that their life had changed for the good, in one day after entering the camp of the Syrians and finding food and riches........2 kings 7:9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings and we hold our peace.............let’s go and tell the king’s household....
In Luke 2: 11 the angel told the shepherds for unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 4:21 Jesus enters the Synagogue and opens the book to Isaiah 61:1-3 Luk 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to h7. eal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.  Jesus closes the scroll and says to hears, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
7. Jesus taught his disciples in praying to say give us this day our daily bread.
8. But what I like most of all in Luke 24: 42-43 when Jesus gave the thief on the cross and invitation to salvation. The thief had a life long criminal history, worthy of death. A bad reputation and seemingly no favourable outlook for himself. But just one day with Jesus hanging on the cross beside him changed his whole eternal life. The thief asked; Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.......................Jesus answered and said truly, truly, to day (this day) you shall be with me in paradise..
God doesn’t need a whole year....You don’t have to wait for the new year but He can change your life, this day ...........today.............
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it...
We have 362 more “ this day “in 2021.......
