Sermon Outline Ex.20:16, Matt.5:16

1. Exodus 23:1 Unrighteous Witness—One who joins in fellowship with the wicked. Both of their testimonies is the same.
2. Deut.19:16-20 A Witness is to be Examined Closely.
3. Rom.13:9 Testimony is based upon Love

Unrighteous Witness—Ex.23:1

a. Walks in Fellowship with the Wicked
b. There is no distinction between them and the wicked
c. There Testimony Can’t be Trusted

Close Examination Deut.19:16-20

a. Placed in the sight of others “Rise up”---It is the person with the false witness that brings himself to the forefront.
b. Made to look bad in the eyes of others “Both shall stand before the judge, priest, etch”
c. He will suffer the same disgrace as the wicked. Life is shameful.

Testimony Based Upon Love- Matt.5:6

Positive Testimony is to be a blessing to others
“Let” give permission to show (testify) through good works
Before men (Love for others)
Glorify your Father (love for God)
