Remember the Power of the Gospel
Attempts to stop the gospel led to its advance (vs12).
Because of his imprisonment, people there heard of Christ (vs13).
After his imprisonment, others stepped up to preach (vs14).
No matter what happens, we know the gospel will move forward.
View of Life
WE must have the perspective that Jesus alone is life (vs21).
Because Jesus is life, we know we will have meaningful work in all situations (vs22).
Persecution can never take away our true life.
View of Death
For many, death is scary and to be avoided at all costs.
Death is gain because then we are with Jesus (vs21, 23).
We have nothing to fear because of Jesus’ victory over death.
Because of this, we can live courageously in persecution.
