Why God Gave Choice?

Remember, humans were created to parter with God in ruling the Earth but Why? I mean certainly the Almighty God didn’t need any help in doing that

Because God delights in sharing His goodness. He wants us to participate in his good plan that was for humans to flourish in this good world that He created to be enjoyed and cared by us. A place that would be filled with love and unity betwen God and humans but also humans with humans.

But this is all before the Fall of humanity. READ Gen 3

This is why today the good plan of God is not a reality. But it doesn't mean is not going to happen.

God is still working out His good plan. But how is he doing it?

Genesis 2:7–9 NET

The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. The Lord God planted an orchard in the east, in Eden; and there he placed the man he had formed.The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow from the soil, every tree that was pleasing to look at and good for food. (Now the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil were in the middle of the orchard.)

By the Choice that every Human being needs to take.

the tree of life represents connection and having a relationship with God

the tree of knowledge of good and evil represents deciding by our own apart from having a connection with God.

But Why God risked His Good Plan by giving Humans the responsibility to Choose one way or the other?

Because by allowing the possibility to fail, God was also creating the wonderful possibility for Trust

What is Trust?

A logical and emotional response

Trust opens the door to the most important emotions and experiences that Humans can have like Belonging to a place, friendship, peace, comfort and Love. In another words Trusting the right person gives you life!!

Today there is another two trees that God has planted and we must choose...

Daniel 4:10–14 NET

Here are the visions of my mind while I was on my bed. While I was watching, there was a tree in the middle of the land. It was enormously tall. The tree grew large and strong. Its top reached far into the sky; it could be seen from the borders of all the land. Its foliage was attractive and its fruit plentiful; on it there was food enough for all. Under it the wild animals used to seek shade, and in its branches the birds of the sky used to nest. All creatures used to feed themselves from it. While I was watching in my mind’s visions on my bed, a holy sentinel came down from heaven. He called out loudly as follows: ‘Chop down the tree and lop off its branches! Strip off its foliage and scatter its fruit! Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches!

Acts 5:30–31 NET

The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you seized and killed by hanging him on a tree.God exalted him to his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

God knew the risk when He gave us the choice. He knew that it was going to lead His Son into the cross. It was not an easy choice for Him. But He knew it was worthy to pay the price. Because even though the first humans and all humans have failed, there would be those that would see the beauty, power and Life in simply trust in Him. And that’s what He wanted and still wants. To share His love with us.
