If you are familiar with the pages (of Job), then you have to admit that it is an interesting book. Scholars believe that it’s most likely to be the oldest book (in the bible).
I have been excited about (the) books, very (old) beginning for quite some time. The main character actually lived (on earth), before any WORD (of scripture) was written. This was a time when there was no orthodox. In other words there were no right belief(s).
The poet didn’t find it necessary to make any connections with well- known Israelite concerns. In the book there were no covenant, law, priesthood, temple
The poetry gives readers a strong sense of mystery because there is so much that we don’t know about the literature (of Job).
Before we jump into (the text), I’d like to try to bring (you) up to speed. In other words, I want to give (you) all the latest information. I want to remind you that I (still) believe that “background” is important.
