The World Needs Light

There Has Been Enough Darkness

Mar 4:21  And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? 

Mar 4:22  For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. 

In the previous year we have seen the dark to darkest side of our society.

On social media, public TV, Cable News, Cable TV, Facebook, Tic Tok, Instagram, the printed news and person to person.

There has been the spreading of the seeds of division, prejudice, racism and down right hatred.

All of this is done in the name of Country and Patriotism.

We have seen law enforcement react to one race with quick deadly force while using professional restraint with another race who many cases show more unlawful behaviour.

The response to that Civil injustice is protest that then culminates into unlawful behaviour of rioting and vandalism.

The Right portrays themselves as voice of morality when it’s the left committing violence while over looking the injustice of their side. Then the Left condemns the injustice of the Right but then justifies the unruly behaviour of the their side stating that they should be treated equal.

Both sides of the political spectrum are hypocrites by illuminating the wrong of the opposing side while covering the sins of their fellows.

The problem stems from the fact that we look for our enlightenment on these issues from our political leaders....President—Legislators---our favourite Cable News Anchor......Radio Pod Cast Person.....even the know it all at the Barber Shop....

In these dark times we should be looking for Heavenly illumination for wisdom and truth and answers to this current social chaos.....but rather America has been looking to man who is the cause and nurturer of the negative issues that we are facing.

We can understand why man has been mislead and drawn away into their own destruction

Paul tells Timothy 2Ti 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

He even tells Timothy

2Ti 3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 

14. Even while mankind has become darker and dimmer, Jesus has charged the Church to illuminate The Glory of the Kingdom of Heaven upon the world.

15. Not only does Jesus say that He is the light of the world but He tells the church that we are the light of the world, a city that sits upon a hill and cannot be hidden.

16. It seems as America’s horizon has dimmed this previous and present year, the church also has closed her blinds to the outside and says I’ll open them when this blows over.

17. God has not called us to bypass these issues but to speak out and show His love to a nation that is engulfed with hatred.

18. Timothy was charged to cry loud and spare not. To life up his voice as a trumpet and show society their sins..

19. The truth of the matter is that people are looking for the answer....They chose political parties looking for the answer....they vote for presidents and congressional leaders looking the answer......they are persuaded into far Right or far Left groups looking for the answer. And yes they raid the capital building this past week looking for the answer......they marched for George Floyd and Breonna Taylor looking for the answer…they even burned the cities with rioting looking for the answer.

20. The answer is not in man or the right political party, the right president, CNN FOX NEWS MSNBC ABC NBC CBS but it is JC Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

21. What do you expect to happen to our nation when the president doesn’t know Jesus, the cabinet doesn’t know Jesus , the Senate and Congress doesn’t know Jesus. They all do immoral acts to stay in office and appease their million dollar supporters and make themselves prosperous and only call on God when things get so bad that they know we need some divine help.

22. God never said when you elect the Republicans your nation will prosper,,,,He never said elect the Democrats and then you all will have health insurance and medicare.

23. Instead God said If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 

We protested instead of praying We burned instead of praying We held Mega rallies instead of praying We impeached instead of praying We campaigned instead of praying.

We the church have to shine the Love of Jesus and show the Grace of God to this society.

Look at our text:

Jesus.......is the answer.......

Joh 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 

Joh 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
