Whats up with Prayer?

This is how to pray
Expose your heart to God!
Psalm 139:23–24 NKJV
Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
Read through a poem or two from my old notebook. Thats cheesy, But its raw, its real.
Sometimes raw is cheesy, That’s not for others to judge. This is you getting before God and showing him your heart!
Pray something real and raw
Psalm 51:1–2 NKJV
Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
We are talking about Confessing your sin to God
2 parts
God I really messed up but your so mericiful
God wash me clean
Take a few moments
Confess your sin to God
Praise God for what he has done!
Psalm 9:1–2 NKJV
I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
Praise God for what he has done
-Praise you with my whole heart
-I will tell the world
-I will be glad
-I will sing praise
You can pray God’s praises, but even a song can be a prayer to God.
Two types of praise songs, ones about God and ones to God.
Both of these songs are to God.
SING TO GOD! SONG CAN BE A PRAYER
Lets sing.
After the song time, we come back to finish.
Don’t Stop Praying!!!
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 NKJV
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

But ball practice may get us closest.
Michael Jordan – greatest – he had practiced scenarios so often that they felt comfortable even in a game

I practice as if I’m playing in the game, so when the moment comes in the game, its not new to me. That’s the beauty of the game of basketball. That’s the reason why you practice. That’s the effort. So when you get to that moment, you don’t have to think. Instinctively, things happen.
Koby practiced even harder. Phil Jackson was even quoted as saying he was the only person that practiced more and harder than Michael Jordan.

Does your prayer life look like that?
It can
Lead in to time of commitment
