We have heard a lot lately about change. It has been the main theme of speeches, debates, and even campaign platforms. Change for change sake is really not a good idea. What really is change and when is change needful? Webster says change is to become or to make different. Pass from one state to another. We know that it is necessary to change clothes, to change the oil in our car. Brother Job is talking about a change that is different from one that any of us have yet experienced.
Changed from ….
Sorrow To Joy &Suffering to Serenity-
I wonder if Job was thinking as he spoke these words, of how one day all of these boils would be gone, He would be with his children again, he wouldn’t even worry about his livestock he would be in Father Abraham’s bosom. All of his sorrow would be turned to joy all of his suffering to serenity.
Guy Carradine, Beverly Carradine’s son when but a young fellow was outside playing and got a small cut on his foot. Not much was thought about it because young boys often get scratches and cuts and bruises. However a few days later it still wasn’t going away in fact it was getting worse. He soon began to have trouble walking, then fever set in. He lost his appetite and it dawned on them, Guy has lockjaw or Tetanus. Beverly ran to find a doctor only to hear him say, “He’s gone- there’s no hope.”
Convulsions soon set in and after one of these Guy looked up at his father and said, “Papa, I thought I was going to be a preacher.” Beverly knelt down beside the little boy and whispered for him to repeat after him… “When we’ve been there ten thousand years, bright shinning as the sun, we’ve no lest days to sing God’s praise than when we’ve first begun. Softly slowly the words were repeated and soon Guy’s little soul was wafted to the arms of Jesus
There are many who suffer mightily before they die. I know of one brother who had cancer and it literally disfigured his face. He was in so much pain suffering and hurting so badly. They went into his room soon after he had passed away, and they have pictures of this, His face was in a perfect peaceful smile the glow of heaven on it all tears had passed away.
I like to imagine a huge dumpster outside of those pearly gates and if we could see it this morning we would find it full overflowing with medicine, glasses, walkers wheelchairs, crutches, prosthetic limbs, all kinds of hospital equipment, oxygen tanks, insulin shots, old used hankies,
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Here To Home - "There's coming a time when old Zion will nose herself up against that golden shore they'll tie her up with a pearl heaving line. I'll step out on that battle scarred deck and I'll shade my eye and look her over and say I AM HOME."
Sis. Nelson had a stroke and was dying just kept pointing up to heaven, she knew where she was going.
I read a story recently of a young 11 year old boy name Jaundre. He was diagnosed with cancer and was taking treatments but soon began to loose the battle. His parents who were Christians begged God to help their son to know what to do, whether they should pursue more powerful and potentially dangerous procedures or to let God take him home. The boy was faced with a lot of uncertainties would he like heaven other questions boys his age might have. It came down to the time and just seconds before Jaundre passed away he appeared to be trying to climb out of bed. He turned his head and looked at his mom and said, “Mom, I love you… but it’s awesome there!” He had his answer.

Mortal to Immortal
1Th 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Fighting to ‘I Have Won’ One day He’ll call us all together at that huge arena, if I can use my imagination and building on others, and there he’ll reach down and pick up the Devil all bound up and he’ll hold him up for all to see, and shout, “I HAVE HIM, You thought he was going to get you but, I HAVE HIM” maybe he’ll get a little personal , You sis up in the top balcony, you thought you couldn’t go another mile someday, “I HAVE HIM” or Bro. Newport, all your responsibilities all your load and he would come by and try to discourage, send sickness to love ones, try to send in things to ruin the church, look, I HAVE HIM, and Bro Johnson, trying to keep your district camp when some wanted to just close it down, trying to keep your churches going, Look I HAVE HIM” Preachers laymen, children I HAVE HIM
When fighting in changed to victory to “I HAVE WON”
He’ll take that key from out of his girdle open that door at his feet, cast that devil in slam the door shut and holy pandemonium will break out.
One brother said, “When he says those words, ‘ Well done, thou good and faithful servant: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.’ I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to come down out of ecstasy or not”
