Nah 1:7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Psa 4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
I spoke this morning about Knowing our Redeemer lives. Tonight I want to tell you that God KNOWS you.
We find that thought in each of the verses tonight.
God keeps account of all of his. We are told that when we are saved our names are written down in the Lamb’s book of Life, God know if we are alive or not. What I find tragic is you don’t find any keeping of those whose names are not in the Book of Life. I understand God keeps a record of sin, but only those with their names in THE BOOK go to heaven. What a sad thought to live for the devil all your life and then live in almost anonymity throughout eternity. The Devil doesn’t care who you are. But God does. HE Cares and he knows where you are.
I get the VOM and am every month convicted that we have no idea how to evangelize we are cowards maybe I should say I.
Read this month of a lady a pastor’s wife they were outside visiting and some hired killers came by and shot at them. She was holding their baby the shots knocked it to the ground it critically wounded her and killed her husband. She ran inside and screamed and hollered for a long time and no one came. But God knew where they were. The policmen finally came and took her to a government hospital there VOM learned of her case and went to help. God knew where she was.
I can remember as a child hearing I believe it was Phil Adams talk about a tribal war they were caught in the middle of He had to help both sides and it was dangerous. But God knew where he was.
But know the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself. What a place to be.
A construction crew were clearing out a patch of forrest to put a road thru. As the foreman was going thru it and marking the trees to cut down he noticed one had a birds nest in it with young birds who couldn’t fly yet. He left that one. A couple of weeks later he came back and rode a bucket up to look at the nest. The birds were gone so they cut it down. As it fell the birds nest crashed down and fell apart. He noticed a scrap of paper and picked it up it was from a Sunday school paper and read, “He Careth for you”
Hagar out in the middle of nowhere yet when she heard from God cried, “My God seeth me.
He knows where we are, He knows where in church, He may even be calling the angels over and saying look there’s Wichita, not a lot of people go there but they are mine.
I’m glad to be known of God.
